88 wagoneer hood stuck closed

hi

the hood is stuck closed on my 88 wagoneer. the release handle pulls a little but but not enough to pop the hood. Any idea how to get the hood open?

See if you could see the wire going into the Latch. Pull that to the "Open" direction and it might pop up.
