So I'm already planning out my next mod :D and was wanting opinions on what you think I should do... I can't spend more than 400$. I was thinking between Diablo Predator, get my current front air dam and side skirts painted, new speakers, what else??? And Scott I know what your gonna say :p
Paint the air dam and side skirts... I think that makes such an improvement to the exterior. Either that or some new springs. I say finish out the exterior first, then move onto interior or performance. Just my $.02

I say paint the air dam and skirts too. I'll be getting my skirts painted when I get my new fender painted from the accident. I wish they could spray the pillars black too but I'll jyst get the vinyl for them.

I'm doing the pillars too (when I get a job). I think it looks bad ass on lighter colored WK's.

IMO I would do springs and shocks before the predator.

Why not Scott??? The overland has the same skirt as the other WK's but the overland's come painted. I like the Srt's but to me it really doesn't matter how far it comes down. I just want it color matched to the body.

becasue the parts(other than an overland) arent meant to be painted. Why not spend $100 more and get the mopar kit?

I was figuring $400-450 for paint. If you were quoted $350 they arent gonna smooth them and paint...theyre just gonna paint them. Then there is getting the paint to stick. Yes i know any shop is gonna say they wont have a problem........but the parts have been in the elemenst for years exposed to all kinds of chemicals. Unless they do a perfect job....you will get paint damage/flaking etc. And it is a fact that non factory paint is not as good as factory. Just spend the extra $200 then and get a killer mod.....instead of one that looks OK. My opinion of course.

He told me he will sand them completely smooth because he was counting up in his head how many hours of sanding he was going to have etc.

Personally, If i has the $400 (limit) to blow,
Sway bars,
or
a bunch of misc things to finish it up before getting the wheels and tires i want.
List, Get vinyl shop to black out pillars between windows, ($75 ish)
Tint front windows (100 ish)
Bilstein rear shocks at least, save for fronts later.
Find a used SRT8 grille (just the mesh)
Power wire
This list could go one forever, but i could prolly get most of that stuff for the $400 or less range.

I would say get the mopar kit dude, spend the extra cash for something worth the quality. There is a slight difference in which your car will look more "musclier". And you can def tell the difference since you have a silver car. Therefore a more aggressive look to the jeep, and the wheels def compliment them.
But like you said, the guy is going to sand them down etc, then why not. As long as you are happy with the result and with what you paid for.
Keep us updated though......
