The interior is really nice but that exterior, I just don't know. They need to lose the chrome (atleast for me). They could have done a better job on the redesign but its growing on me slightly. I need to see it in person.

Milous, nice job as the third brochure is the best one. I was looking for those 18" winter tire wheels, like the rear fog lights, fuel economy guage and air intake kit to name a few items. Wish they had included the part numbers for Jeep parts folks easy reference. Know it would save time when I'm checking prices on Monday.
Thanks again.

Hmm, nice!
So do I get that right?
You can get:
-Panorama-Roof
AND
- Rear-DVD-system (either with 2 headrest-screens or a console mounted screen between the front-seats
AND
- Still have the full functionality as the factory-installed system that would delete the Pano-roof (with full functionality I mean the option to get FLO-TV and to connect it to the car's stereo-system)
If yes, that would be awesome because I felt a bit stupid for paying an additional $1500 for the optional factory DVD-entertainment system on the Overland ALTHOUGH I would lose the pano-roof...:)

saw this here at AllPar anyone knows if the power steering true??
what makes it better?
www.allpar.com/.../2011-grand-cherokee-getting-electric-steer...
Sources tell us that electrohydraulic power steering will be a Jeep Grand Cherokee option for late in 2010, though the rationale behind it — and whether it will replace the current hydraulic system — is unknown. Electrohydraulic power steering, in theory, should reduce the parts count and make the use of start-stop or hybrid systems easier.
Quadra-Lift and Quadra-Drive are both due at the end of this month, to be followed by a Mopar Chrome Edition Group adding to the already generous shine of the luxury Jeeps. White Gold paint will emphasize the luxury aspect of the Grand Cherokees, as well.

I installed the kit in my '08 as a test exercise for the WK web site. Since I didn't want a "permanent" installation I simply routed the switch out through the side of the center console trim. Worked perfectly, the switch stays in place by itself and with the seat in the normal drive position it is out of the way yet fully accessible.
http://www.wkjeeps.com/interior/ambient_03m.jpg
WK2 ambient light kit notes:
The kit for the WK2 (p/n 82212347) is different than the kit for the WK1 (p/n 82211607AD). The WK kit includes additional lighting for the rear footwells. The WK2 kit is not available yet, and for some reason has been deleted from the recently revised 2011 WK2 accessories catalog. It could be awhile before it becomes available.
While the seller on ebay is advertising and listing the kit as being for "2010-2011" GC's, I believe the kit he is selling is the WK1 kit, and he is even charging the (higher) list price for the WK2 kit. When available, it be be a lot cheaper through JustForJeeps.com.
The WK1 kit will not fit the WK2, they are not interchangeable.

I dont mind telling but I have to warn you that you should be sitting down first. Prices installed are as follows
Chrome stainless nesh grill $443.00
illumintaed sill $239
chrome bezels $143

I have them. The MSRP on those are $79.00. You can install those yourself in less than 10 minutes. They pop on and off. No tools, just a roll off painters tape and a thick credit card. Don't pay someone $64.00 to put them on.

Agreed, and that's certainly a possibility for the fog bezels. With all the chrome of the front end, I think the accessory bezels are a nice choice, and certainly not very expensive.

I could do better on jparts.com at 423. I
Just curious my neighbor who is away for the week can get me accessories at cost + 10 percent. Thus I'm trying to see what cost really is verses the online price I can just order and get before they even arrive home..and not feel werid if I want to return them. :) I've seen it in action.. works well.. when I was following a pair of WK2s over the bridge I was apparently in the Overland's blind spot as the little orange triangle was lighting up in the passenger side mirror. I moved forward a bit, and the light turned off.. looks like a simple yet effective feature! :)
A couple of years ago I test drove a Volvo with it..I don't know if the indicators are the same, but I found it extremely annoying. On the Volvo it could be turned off...any idea if that will be the case here?

The Volvo light is within the cabin, not on the mirror so it's more prominent.

From what I can tell (I could be wrong, but it's basically doing the same job, no point in designing a completely different system), the BLIS is basically just another sensor of the type they use for the rear parking distance alert system, only it's mounted in the side of the rear bumper cover, not the rear. Mate that to a light on the side mirror and a buzzer, and you're there. Still, I wonder if there's just no spot on the stock harness for it- that, the mirror differences, and the computer programming are probably the main obstacles. The computer isn't much of one, but the mirror and the harness would be.

we are hearing Dec. for the tech package...which includes blind spot
Another thread said you could order the tech package today. I don't know if that means they will be building that way right away. I didn't hear from my dealer today as expected so I can't say that I personally know that. Other members are definatley informed.

My understanding is that the items that became available today are for November build.

Nothing on Jeep.com yet so it would be great if anyone could chime in on whether the dealers are able to order any of these new options (Mineral Grey, Saddle, ACC, Blind Spot, Rear Cross Path Detection, Advanced Collision Warning etc.)

I would be ok with that. I'm in no rush to get rid of my paid for Tahoe with 118,000 miles:rolleyes:
Seriously I would just like to get it ordered the way I want it and then play the waiting game.
I did this last year with the wifes Camaro. Once it was ordered then I went into frantic when will it be here mode. Really only because it was her anniversary present. Sure enough it came in 2 days before.

I was hoping they would update the site today with more options. Looks like they got a few more 2011 models up though.
Yes, dealers can order the new options as of today. The web site updates always lag behind the dealer order availability date.
