Just took these a couple of days ago, though unfortunately with phone's camera. Maybe not an SRT8, but still gets peoples attention! :D

Irf... That grill is stock from the factory like that.

Mario... Exactly! The two big items I love on it is the fact that one, I have a low-range even though I may never use it now that it's staying home in Florida. Hell, even the standard Q.T. system never let me down this past fall and winter when I had it up in N.W. Indiana. Two, the towing ability is very nice to have as well.

Maybe one day I might go for it and get a WK, but never until I could overcome certain aesthetic and ergonomic issues I have with the design. And that may never happen. :rolleyes:

Of course, I don't need another car payment and I'm figuring that once all is said and done performance-wise, there's absolutely no reason I shouldn't be down in the 13's for the quarter mile. And that alone will make me very, very happy!

BRO anybody that ask me about my truck this is the first words out of my mouth for real"THE SRT-8 OF 1998 BABY"...That the truth right there it paved the way for power SUV i think...For it to only have 245HP and 345TQ slap on some mods lite to heavy and can hang around with the big boys of today really says alot about the truck!! P.S. i love your 5.9 bro we are a dying breed around here!!

Those things were crazy in '98. I used to dream of getting one. They did pave the way for super SUVs. They still get a ton of respect from Jeep lovers.

No disrespect to our WK 4.7 brothers, but I really wish that they would quit trying to race me :lol:. Though I never can seem to find a Hemi WK owner just to see how good the old girl can do against one. But for what we have to work with, I love how good it does in a straight line. Especially since so far the only vehicles to out-and-out wax my ass (and I knew it was going to happen!) was an SRT8 Magnum and a Subaru WRX. But the most fun I've had has come at the expense of the following:

-'89-'97 era V8 Thunderbird
-Honda Civic(s)
-Acura whatever-the-hell it was supposed to be with the VTEC engine.
-V8 Dakota
-Hemi Durango
-1500 Ram(s)
-Older "F" Body GM's (Camaro and Firebird models) and Mustangs.

There's been a few others as well, but hell I can't remember every vehicle that wants to throw down! It's all in good fun though. One of these days I will get to the track and see what I run in the 1/4 mile..... :thumbsup:

Ryan, what's up bro! Yeah, that exhaust is pretty distinctive. My former brother-in-law has an '88 Mustang GT and even he took note of it! And we know how good those Ford exhausts sound! :D

Nice pics of the niner Carlo.
Personally I think we have SRT8s today thanks to the success the niners had back in '98 with car enthusiasts all over, it was jeeps first ever high performance SUV. If you think about it and I'm sure you and Bubba will agree with me on this... It was the most well rounded SUV ever back then, it had the looks (interior & exterior), the performance, the off road capabilities, towing... you name it...

I totally agree with you, and I only wish that Chrysler would wake up and realise they'd sell a bundle of off-road capable WK's optioned with the big daddy 6.1.
As I've said so many times before, a electrnic diff locked WK with low range and sensible ground clearance would the THE GUN, and a true modern successor the the fantastic Niner!

Remember bro, we may not have the fastest vehicles on the road but look at all else that we CAN DO......

-Unmatched 4-wheel drive and stock off-road capability.
-Towing 5,000+ pounds (with exception of SRT8).
-More room to throw our family and gear in the back for trips.
-Still plenty fast enough for being stock.

Can those other cars you raced say any of that, especially the SRT4 that beat you while rolling??? We know better bro!!!
