Robert Palmer

Well this morning I met up with Paul (Black Mamba) and I bought a PX8 Grill off of him. Great transaction and the grill was perfect. Just needed a cleaning. :)

I installed my Overland mesh onto the Laredo Grill. Thank you TimmyB for your instructions on how to switch it over and it was still a pain in the ass to do.

Here are some pics:

Grille turned out very nice man..... but how the heck were you able to manage to leave the jeep in the middle of the street, go up to wherever you took that picture and not cause traffic?

Actually I love it the way it is.

Mon- My brother was walking on the new Park (Highline) and I asked him to snap a pic of me going around the corner.

Def the black toned it down in the front. Looks more masculine and sporty... I wonder how a black grill would look on a white WK???

Yeah Highline park is NICE!!! I was up there last thurs... I like the part where you can sit over the street and watch the cars...

Is the mesh all one piece or seven individual pieces?

Robert Palmer
07-01-2009, 03:54 PM
Thanks Mark and Jeremy!!!

Ryan- Each grille are 2 pieced. One piece is the body painted/chrome part and everything else (slots/mesh and the rest of the plastic) is one piece.

Hey, while you're on the modding trail, how about getting rid of those mudflaps! (lol, I know I know you dont wanna) :D

Marlin
07-01-2009, 05:31 PM
Mudflaps are right up there with dealer number plate surrounds as a "first thing to delete of your new ride" ;)

Robert Palmer
07-01-2009, 05:32 PM
I want to but check this out, a few weeks ago I removed them. My face was like this :D until I took a closer look. The mudflaps since they were on so long they left scratches and if the flaps are on, the scratches are covered.

So mudflaps for me. :(

Marlin
07-01-2009, 05:35 PM
Ah thats a shit :( FYI, mine was the same, lots of grit caused scratches behind the flaps on the paint.)
I hated them strongly enough to invest in painting the entire rear bar to get rid of them! lol

Hush your mouth. I LOVE the range rover sport supercharged. I just hate when people put huge chrome wheels on them. I love the supercharged wheels on them. If I become wealthy enough I'm getting a white supercharged range rover.

Joe, your jeep now with the black SRT grille is looking more and more like my old '05. It looks great and the pictures look awesome, very creative.

Nate, the RR Sport to me is one of those cars that you see on the road and you think they are beautiful, and they are... The interior on them are incredible too but I don't think I would ever buy one even if I could afford one, just by the plain fact of all the problems they are know to have, not just from what I read on the internet but from the problems I've seen friends having with them. I know a lot of cars are known to have things go wrong with them and none is perfect, but the RR sport is just one of those that I wouldn't come close to.
Don't get me wrong a white RR Sport in white sitting on the garage would look awesome :D.
Just my opinion and my .02¢

I LOVE the RR sports, but it's just like the Escalade... they're all over the place. That's why I like the SRT8, far more rare than those two SUV's.

RR Sport? Sorry guys, all about the HSE...IMHO the Sport is a wannabe, and having driven extensively 3 HSE's (2 4.6's 1997 and 2000 and 1 HSE 2003) I loved the feel, fit and finish. We had one issue with the air suspension on the 1997, and traded it in for the 2000 for basically nothing...other than that they were great off-road and awesome around town and on the freeway. Don't get me wrong, it is sad to say that my Jeep is faster, handles better and has a better Nav system...but there is nothing like the feel of a Rover. They were slow, but had enough power to get you where you needed to go, and the 400hp SC HSE had a very nice get-up to it when I test drove it (still slower than my Jeep, and I have proven it recently :) ) If I had to buy one, I would buy my Jeep ALL DAY...BUT if you were going to give me one, 2008/09 White Anniversary Edt SC HSE it is!!!

Yeah I know. I like the HSE better than the Sport Just it looks more mature looking. But the HSE is def more classy that the sport. Everyone In Miami has a RR like they're cheap or something.

You've got me thinking.. stillens or no stillens...

Yours looks good because the headlights make the front look angular and taut but with the stillens they bring "up" the overall look of the front fascia...

Hmmmmm
