No springs/shocks on yet in these pics.
Next week the Bilstein Hds and Eibachs (No longer H&R.....long story) Will be on! Ill take more pics then.
Just acouple pics for now though..

Gee mate, don't even talk to me about dirty jeeps..... I still haven't washed mine from 2 weekends ago when I towed the race car up north. The race paddock was drenched, and was red clay, so the shit is everywhere. I hosed it off with the fire hose at work but it's still filthy, red mud all up the sides of it :)

Ewww. That would suck. Wash it! I guess mines not to bad then.
Hannes: Much better without the roof rack! It had to of added atleast 23hp to the engine taking that thing off :)
It is much sleeker...I love the look, It sort of made the jeep look a bit longer and you can see how the roof dips down toward the back.
and the springs......Bought them from one company, then they told me they were on backorder for acouple months and refunded my money acouple days later. Tried another company, waited acouple weeks and did not recieve them. Tried emailing them for a tracking # or to see if they even had them and no response. Put in a paypal dispute and tried to contact them through that thinking it would make them respond to me, after about a week..Still nothing. Put in a Paypal Claim to get my money back, paypal could not contact them and notice I had tried multiple times and got no response...so paypal refunded my money after about another week or two for that process. Found another listing for Eibach springs (which I had been trying to get this whole time) and said F*#$ it, Im going to ask this seller if they have them in stock and ready to ship before I send them money. The seller told me they were not in stock but they could get a set of H&Rs in 3 days for the same price and ship them to me. I said OK, I guess Ill go ahead and give the H&Rs a try since I haven't seen to many on the WJ and sent the money, The seller had great communication with me and kept updating me that they were still waiting for them to arrive from H&R. After about 3 weeks or so UPS shows up with EIBACH springs!!! Tried to contact the seller to see what happened with the H&Rs and have not heard anything from them, LOL.
So Eibachs are going on since Im sick and tired of dealing with springs..

Eibachs and Bilsteins going on Tomorrow! As much as im looking forward to the new springs and shocks going on.....im not really looking forward to the work im going to have to do in the 90 degree hot/humid air, plus it'll probably rain on me acouple times, lol.

Got everything in. The back was a breeze....front, not so much but I got it done.
Painted the rotors and calipers Silver while I had the chance.

This is the Drivers side front Shock I had to hacksaw out since they leave almost no room to get to it and I'd say a bad design on how it actually unbolts. I had to cut out the rubber bushing and held a hacksaw blade in my had and had about 1 inch to move it back and forth to get through:) Not fun.

Awesome Will!! I'm soo excited for you....its gonna look great...and the calipers looks cool silver....
Umm....did you get install instructions with your Eibach's? I have a feeling about something but I don't wanna say anything till you tell me...lol...

07-10-2009, 02:37 PM
about those rubber sleeves on the tops? I wasn't sure about them but called Eibach Tech Support and they said to leave them on....they put those on there at their factory. So I left them on.
But I did get some "General Install instructions" Without pics almost no information on it at all LOL.
Oh and look what showed up at my door this morning....it was like Christmas!
Now I have to decide if I want to change out the Eibachs for the H&Rs!

Jeep looks sweet. I like the limited WK wheels you have on it. I have only seen the laredo wk wheels on a wj before. Nice job!
dreamer1213
07-10-2009, 06:22 PM
Those are Overland exclusive WK wheels Kyle...lol...
Yeah...it has something to do with those rubber sleeves....they should be at the bottom...so you have to flip the springs around...
WOW....what are you thinking? Did you measure how much drop you got with the Eibach's?

Thanks Kyle!
Hannes: I was also told to keep the lettering that was printed on the springs so that you can read it.....and thats they way there were. All the sleeves were at the top
Maybe you need to flip yours around http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/smiley-basic/biggrin.gif (http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys.php)
Oh and I was so anxious to start I forgot to measure :( But the H&Rs didnt cost me a dime. Someone screwed up and sent me both....Im not going to complain abouot that. Now I have the opportunity to try both haha.

07-11-2009, 04:58 AM
May be I should....lol....
Thats a pretty sweet deal Will...definitely no complaining....you can decide which set you want to keep, and sell the other set....it will be like you got your springs for free! ;)
Remember to get an alignment....when doing major suspension work its a good idea..We need to meet up soon....I wanna see...lol!!

also I love how much body roll was reduced after putting the Eibachs and Bilsteins on! I feel like im in a sports car when im taking turns. The jeep stays still through the whole turn instead of leaning and trying to throw you into a different seat! Its alot better.

That looks sick Will....I love it....and those tails looks amazing too...those the ones that Daniel did for you? I love them too!

I may have to give the H&Rs a shot though because I'd like to see how it looks alittle bit lower.... Even after paying $70 for the alignment. and will have to do so again when I put the H&Rs on haha.

so how much of a drop do you get with the h&r compared to the eibach? also does bwoody make springs for a wj?
dreamer1213
04-07-2010, 06:47 PM
You get more of an even drop with Eibach's. With the H&R's you'll still have some but in the air look. No BWoody's for WJ's that I know of. Lowest spring drop that I know of is Ground Force, which drops it 2" front, and 2" Rear.
Eibach = 1.0" Front 1.3" Rear
H&R = 2.0" Front 1.8" Rear
Ground Force = 2.0" Front 2.0" Rear
Motteler621
04-07-2010, 08:40 PM
hmm which one do you think would look the best hannes? also do you think I would have any rubbing with the h&r springs?
dreamer1213
04-08-2010, 06:18 PM
Just depends on how low you wanna go Aaron. I always wanted to try the GroundForce's cause it was lowest drop, but I was really happy with my Eibach's. You might have slight rubbing/touching in the front if the wheel is turned as it can go. My tires slightly touched the wheels well liner when the steering wheel was cranked as far as it could go. But when is it turned that far. Once in a while when you pull into the parking spot may be?
The Eibach's will give you an even drop, and the Jeep will sit level. With the other 2, you might still have some rear rake...
