I have a 06 Laredo and want to add front, side & rear SRT8 bumpers.
Questions:
1) Is there a way to get the rear SRT8 bumper, without having to get a new exhaust ( cant afford it ) and just attaching to stainless steal pipes so you still get the look ?
2) Im a broke college student so im gonna have to do this by parts.. Once I get the SRT8 front bumper, whats a decent price to get it painted and installed that way I have something to compare it to when I go into a shop.
Thanks guys. JEEP GARAGE FTMW

Your looking easily over $1500 plus for just the parts plus paint unless you get them pre painted.
justforjeeps.com sells everything you need, you need more then just the bumpers, there are brackets and install kits as well.

The easiest and cheapest way to do the SRT bumper with the center exit exhaust is to find an SRT Jeep guy that has added an aftermarket exhaust and still has his stock exhaust. Most of them will give them away or sell very cheap. Here is the SRT8 Jeep exhaust to non SRT how to for the exhaust--

and here are the parts needed other than the bumper cover and exhaust
- Rear Bumper Absorber ( Item # 68001049AA )$350
- Plain Rear Chrome Support Strip ( Item # 5159095AA ) $95
- Bumper Support Clips ( Requires 3 ) ( Item # 4806226AA ) dont need
- Rear Bumper Lamp Reflector Inserts ( Item # 55156103AA right & 55156102AA left ) $120

and I would bet those are oem bumpers for the $1400 price tag. Search ebay and bumper repair facilities.....you can get them cheaper. I know a forum member that got an 08 front bumper for $250.

Just wondering scott, since I am confused.
To install the rear srt8 bumper you need the tow hitch on your bumper right? like in terms of fitting with the exhausts and such. My friend was asking this question and I told him he needs the hitch or else the bumper wouldnt fit.
Correct me if I'm wrong, I just need some clarification.

You do not need the hitch.

yep...no hitch required.....SRT's dont have them. But you do need the SRT specific rear absorber, srt rear foglights and your exhaust modified

BTW, It is possible, on Non SRT8 jeeps, to keep the spare tire under, and still do the dual centered srt style tips, you just need to find an exhaust shop that is patient enough to do it.

Ooh, all right.. I guess I was thinking you need the hitch area to have the exhaust modified.
Thanks guys. Carry on.

I think I know why its so cheap.......I think it is Fiberglass and not ABS(Polyurthane). You might want to do some search because if you hit something you bumper is F$uked.

As for me I just need the front and sides because I'm just going to keep my rear bumper.

those are the oem bumpers.....they are $1400 for both. Youi can go to your local dealer and get them for that and not have to pay shipping

Thats strange that they are OEM then because it does not require alot of the parts that the OEM says it needs like the foam absorber and such. I hope they come unpainted too, those dont seem to have the black trim on them like the oem ones do.

You can always go with the race mesh parts no? Perhaps there's an SRT8 owner who'd done that mod and you could buy his old front/rear setup cheap.

ok guys....just talked to sarona.
The person I talked to told me these are exact replicas of the front/rear SRT bumpers.(BS if you ask me...but well never know untill someone buys them....LOL)
The price is $1390 shipped to the 48 states...which is about the same or more than the OEM SRT bumpers. They said you will also need everything you need to install the oem SRT bumpers. My guess is...these are OEM bumpers
