42re works only for first 5 miles than slips

Jeep will shift great till after about 5 miles than slips terrible and is undrivable.

What kind of Jeep do you have? What year etc. Slips in what Gears? If ita 93-98 Grand Cherokee and it revs high in second gear and finally switches to third gear you have to Replace your Govenor Pressure Solenoid Valve or Sensor.

Could be something as simple as it's low on fluid also. When was it last serviced? Have you checked the fluid with the tranny hot (after driving) and in neutral?
