How to remove my shifter knob

I have an 06 GC laredo and wanted to change the stock knob to something else how do i remove it? I tried just twisting as i was under the impression it just screwed on but got no where...

Hmmmmm should I buy an SRT8 knob?? I kind of dig the carbon fibred look one

yeah it is impossible to remove on 08+....

nate - after you left that day. joe came by, he couldn't remove his or mine either... i don't get it!!!

So how did you install your radio w/o removing the shift knob?

you don't need to! put it in drive and remove trim.. plenty of room

if you have not done it yet rent a comander from a retnal place and swap them out the comander looks similar to the srt8 without the carbon fiber i work for hertz and thats what i did the day i got mine lol

haha, boss didnt care? lol...my mom almost rented a 2008+ laredo..i almost swapped the skinny side moldings for my fat ones

lol i am the boss i didnt have to rent it to get it off. and as far as the moldings i have seen far worse (wheels swapped, dashboards, spoilers, seats etc etc etc you get the point.... haha) hell back in the 60's with the Hertz Special Edition Shelby Mustang a guy once told me they used to swap the entire motor... now thats something i have not seen yet !!!
