Hello everyone. Just purchased a 2011 Jeep Wrangler and already I'm looking at upgrading the stereo. It came with the media center 130 which doesn't have the SAT or Uconnect feature. Does anyone know, first off, how to remove the factory radio on a 2011 Wrangler and second where I can go to acquire a new or used factory unit with the unconnect and sat features?
Looking forward to hearing back from all you jeep fans.:)

Ebay.. I believe that the Wrangler has a High Speed CAN BUS system. You want to purchase a compatible radio. Low Speed systems won't work in the Wrangler.

Welcome to the garage! You ought to check this thread out. http://jeepgarage.org/showthread.php?t=14771
It's not for wrangler, but will probably be almost the same procedure.
Good luck!

The procedure is somewhat involved, here are the directions:

There are four screws you have to remove to get to the radio. Two are behind the panel below your steering column. Just pull this panel out on either side of the steering column.
There is one in the tray on the top of the dash underneath the rubber insert. Just pull the rubber insert up and out.
The other screw is behind the power window switch panel in the dash below the radio. I have power windows in my JK. You'll need something slim to get under an edge and pop it out.
Then you can pull the dash off and there are four screws holding the radio in. :)
