Stock rear tint %?

i want to get my front windows matched to my rears... and i wanna know what to ask for.

anyone know off the top of their head?

2007 Laredo, 28X package (if that effects tint, i dont know)

I think 35% is legal but it's at your own risk. I have 15% and I got pulled over with that and dark tinted tails and the cop made no mention of it. but def check this out...

the factory tint is 18%

Yeah its 18% factory smoked glass. When you go to the tint shop ask them to match what you have. Even with 15% or 20% your front two windows should seem lighter because light is still passing from the windshield.

35 is too light. The 15% will look lighter cause like Mamba said the windshield brings in a ton of light so 15% will look like 20% during the day. and if there's cops around I just open the moonroof to let light in. LOL

Yeah leave it up for a while. at least 2-3 days. Well thats what the guy said.

2nd time I got it tinted, lmao I rolled the passengers side halfway down by accident. I was about to flip. :lol: Saw bubbles and all that but after 2 days. She was fine.

Get it done @ speedworld. Down @ queens boulevard. Great service and they tint your windows all the way to the edge! Plus you can chat it up with the owner, he owns a SRT8 (hennessy).

I'm thinking of getting the windshield done. An idea from a fellow member (nifty) was to tint it 50% and have a 5% windshield strip over it. So it has sort of an illusion that you just have a dark stock windshield. I plan on doing this come fall. 140$ though.. haha :lol:

Also, I did mention this in a previous thread but i found a great tint place in suffolk LI that does tints and custom Lamin-X tails and headlights:

Wow, that guy paints them? My guy uses the film (rockblocker and Lamin-X)

But it also depends on the grade of tint film. Sometimes the titanium coated tint has a silver undertone to it.

I must visit this magical tintint place you speak of. LOL I used to live in Bohemia but I think that would be ronkonkoma on that side of Lakeland on ocean ave. I got my tint from Savage on Rte 112 in medford. They do a great job and have done all my cars in the past.

my 2 fronts were $60 with lifetime warranty

Im going back to get the remaining windows tinted because the stained black glass doesnt have the UV protection. Basically both rear doors and hatch area side windows and flipper window for $140 also with lifetime.
