Well I finally did all the gas mileage calculations of the Myrtle Beach trip.
Jeep: Mine
Engine: 3.7L (you know, the one everybody hates)
Passengers: 3
Cargo Area: Full, backseat folded too
Rear End Noticeably Sagging: Yes, bad.
Gas mileage on the way there: 21.2MPG
Gas mileage while there: 14.4MPG (Myrtle Beach is nothing but traffic)
Gas mileage on the way back: 21.5MPG
Total Miles Driven: 1,950
Funny, my EVIC was reporting (almost) the same dang thing. + or - 1 or 2 points.
Maximum Speed, according to GPS: 105MPH
Average Speed, according to GPS: 72MPH.
Amazing. Especially considering weight, mountains, and my sister's heavy lead foot. ;)

I will say, that engine was working mighty hard up those mountains. But it made it up and down twice. :)
Now the trip down to Alabama back in January was very disappointing because with only ONE more passenger and the same amount of cargo, I only averaged 18.6MPG there, and 19.9MPG back. (2 less passengers, 2 less people's cargo)

But there's just too big of a gap between those two road trips. The ONLY thing I have done to the Jeep were 1. Bosch Platinum Spark Plugs and 2. The Liberty Intake.
Could those two have seriously had something to do with the increases? I've only noticed an increase in the city since the spark plugs, but highway has gone up considerably since the Liberty Intake.

I'm seriously considering throwing the stock WK intake back on, making a 100 mile highway trip, then swapping to see if there's different numbers. My driving style didn't, hasn't and never will change, so that couldn't possibly be it.
Someone please help me. Could that resonator actually be killing our wallets more than necessary in exchange for quietness?
Everyone go out and get intakes for Libbys! LOL.

OK, I finally got to test my intake idea out on the highway for MPG results. I noticed no gain in the city, but check these numbers out...

I've used these three times now and I swear by them.

The regular, everyday Bosch Platinum Plugs. Good performers, no CELs, increase in gas mileage (most likely due to them just being new when installed), and they last for frickin ever. The ones in my sister's Jeep have about 40k on them and look like I just installed them 10k ago.

Was that 105 top speed came from what we did a few months ago?

I don't even remember if I got up to that speed. But no, my sister did it. :D She claims she doesn't know when though.
This is about as much above sea level as we were...

That's a fantastic average MPH figure...... surely that didn't include all the time spent in traffic at Myrtle?

Drilled a hole in the bottom of the intake, stuck it in there.

thats great fuel economy, you are almost at the same economy as a diesel. :)
for sure though the hemi guys have to be jealous of you.
if the rear end sags while loaded, you may want to invest in some Airlift or Firestone airbags. About $100 if you do it yourself. Helps while towing too.
