Hey guys, I am trading my truck to a 2006 Grand Cherokee Limited with the Hemi. It has 24,000 miles on it and looks new. I should be picking it up this weekend. Any certain things to look for as far as problems or issues?

Thanks for any info.

awesome dude...next time your in Lexington call me and we can meet up. The 2006 is a great year from what i know about WK's. just look for the usual stuff that goes wrong with used vehicles. make sure they do all recalls and TSB's before it leaves the lot.

Sounds great,

Things to look out for? Hmm, off the top of my head,

-Make sure they do all computer checks and updates of the system.
-If it idles funny or possibly stalls out, dont worry, add 1/2 a quart of ATF+4 tranny fluid and that should solve that issue. (i dont know if the hemi has that issue like the 4.7)

-Finally, Enjoy the ride.

I will for sure send you a message next time I head down that way. I know we will be in Mt. Sterling for court days in the fall. I need some hid headlight tips from you.

With the 2006 if you are going to check to see if all your TSB are taken care of before hand, here are the ones i had taken care of under warranty.

Check the TSBs
Listen for differential whine coasting/light acceleration
Check auto function on windows
Check hood strut to see if it's worn out
Inspect rear brakes they go quicker than the fronts
Make sure A/C blows cold
... make sure the fluids are new/clean

Good luck!

GET A CARFAX. Look under the hood. The bar that goes over the motor look at where it is bolted down and make sure it doesnt look like it has moved.:D
