Just following what Marlin said, thought it was a good idea here goes!
I bought this jeep on my own with the intentions of it becoming an off road machine. Well that changed it's slowly become my pride and joy. At first I thought the I loved the purple but then someone crushed me and said it was gay, then i hated it but now i love it even more it's now one of a kind.
Heres when i first bought it!

Love your jeep Denny. Makes me wish my Xj, when I had it, was as clean as yours.
Also as you mentioned a lift is the only way to go on those. They look great with a lift and some bigger tires.
Keep up the good work.

Sweet, jeep, I loved my many lifted Xjs i had over the years.
I would rock the purple, who give a fawk what people think, It would look sick with silver accents. silver and purple go well together. I am really excited to hear how your performance mods go as well.

That purple Denny, is that a factory colour?
And props for the coating underneath, did you apply it yourself of have someone do it?

I was thinking about herculining my bumpers, I heard stuff covered in that doesn't fade, is it true?

I did it myself a while ago. its a roll on kinda thing like painting a wall haha i sand blasted teh metal and primed it and then rolled it on by hand. oh yah that is the factory color everyone asks that haha it's really rare to see them.

If you do it right it shouldn't, do you have metal or plastic bumpers? if there plastic then use some mothers black on black (thats what i do). if there metal save a little money and get them painted, they would look way nicer than bed liner. unless your going for the off road look, cuz bed liner has rubber coating (to make it more durable) in it and it makes it look and feel really bumpy. so no it doesn't fade or chip if done right but not a street kinda look if you know what i mean. Thats why i did it just to the underside, mostly the intention was to prevent rust. seems to be working well. it looks and works real well on axles ide highly recomend it for yours all my buddies did it on theres like i did and they get complimetns all the time.

Ok I just want to make the bumpers match the mirrors and door handles seeing as they are grey right now and progressively fading...

yah i have the same problem. I use a product made my Mothers called back on black. you jsut put it on every other wash and it makes it look really nice.
