The jeep sits a little low for me but i don't want to spend a crap load of money. I was wondering everyone's opinion on a 2 in lift i was looking at this
http://www.jeep4x4center.com/jeep-lift-kits/rough-country/jeep-grand-cherokee-wk-2-inch-suspension-lift-kit.htm
for 150 its really not a lot and should give the jeep a little nicer stance

There are plenty of threads in this forum about these spacer kits... they are all about the same in the 2" category. you can fit 32" tires under there with limited rubbing but you will probably need about a 1/4" spacer to get the tires away from that nasty bolt in the front... some people just cut it, but thats dumb IMHO. welcome to the forum and good luck!

I will recommend OME since they are 2'' longer, it will defeat the purpose to use stock length shocks on a lifted vehicle.
I accidently hit edit on your post, nothing was changed.

yea I like my bilsteins but I think I will try the OMEs a shot when it's time.
I noticed that edit and was curious. I thought "Big Brother" was in town now:lol:

Does a 1/2" spacer equal 1" lift?

Jw because on my Tacoma if we put in a 1/2" spacer it equals 1" of lift. Another reason I ask is because because rusty off-road makes a 1/2" spacer which makes me want to try making a small lift like that for my girl instead of buying one. I have a lathe and plasma cutter available so I might give it a shot

Yes it does, my 1/4'' spacer gave me 1/2'' up front.

ok so im not stupid lol I am pretty sure that when you start lifting IFS the lifts are x2 the size of the spacer (in this case), preload in other cases and so on and so forth

I partially agree that a 1/4" lift is more than a 1/4" of suspension lift, but i measured my RC lift. The front spacers are 2 1/8" and the rear is 1 3/4". If the fron was double, you'd have 4 1/4" of suspension lift which i can assure you it does not, and you'd have a really "nose up" look on the truck, since the rear is a solid axle with the springs located directly over the axle. I think it's more like 30%, cause this would give you a 2.75" lift in front and the 1 3/4 rear, for the "level" look that most off road guys want.

It might make a difference whether its placed on top of the strut assembly or within the assembly preloading the struts.
