i'm new to the site, but greatly looking forward to it! i have a 97 grand cherokee & LOVE IT! it goes anywhere i want it to!

i am considering getting another vehicle but keeping the zj & modifying it. i don't really know where to start though? i would like to eventually take it off-roading but nothing hard core. where would i start? engine? suspension? lift?

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

all my maintainence is good! thanks

i'm considering a 2-4" lift to begin with. i've been checking on different brands but not sure which is better...any suggestions? Skyjacker, OME, Rancho, Rustys???

also, same question but applying to exhaust? magnaflow sounds like one of the better ones? thanks

You'll open a whole can of warms when it comes to exhaust! It all personal preference, personaly I like Flowmaster. It's hard to get a 6cyl. to sound good IMO.

dont waste time with a 2" just start with 4.5" I Running 6.5 front and 4.5 rear with 33's and after awhile you will just want to go bigger.

I have a 94 ZJ Limited that is lifted about 6 inches. I wish I would have never lifted it. I have broke things I never knew would break since I lifted this thing. The higher you go the more you can crawl over and I have trashed my at one time flawless little zj lol.

If I had it to do over again I would have just added some mud tires one size larger than stock and let er go at that.

Do you have a 4.0 or 5.2? If you have a 5.2 just cut the muffler and use the cat as the muffler.

yeah but how many ppl can flex like that on stock lift?? i have a budget boost and 32s, it flexes like yours yeah, but i dont have bump stops either..

start with a cheap budget boost.. can be had for about $50 now.... add some mud terrains.. i personally loved my BFG All Terrains, but now after having the 32" BFG Mud Terrains, you couldnt give me an all terrain tire of any brand...
just watch how good they grip even with open open combo, BTW, this is only a 1.75 inch BB, 318 swap, AWD, 32 BFG M/T (made in 1995) and SkyJacker Shocks
