Hello everyone,

So I am thinking of lowering the wife's GC but am at kind of a loss....

the BWoody Springs look great in my opinion but not sure if the wife would like it...

at the same time I want something more than the eibachs or HR springs.

What is there in the middle?

Is it even worth it to get the Bwoody springs and put the wk bilsteins to raise it back up 3/8"s?

Anyone run this setup and have pictures of it?

Still debating rims for this bad boy and not sure of 20 or 22's...

I have the WK Bilsteins and can def attest to the 3/8" raise...now the BWoody's give you 2 1/2" - 3" of a drop, for an effective drop of about 2 1/4". If you are lowering the vehicle for looks, this would be a great set-up. If you want a real firm and responsive ride, this again would be a great set-up. BUT if you want to put 22's on it, still be above traffic and have a comfortable and responsive ride get the WK bilsteins w/out the lowering springs.

So if you want looks, lowering the WK is the way to go. IMHO if you want a responsive ride for your wife that is still very comfortable, just get the WK Bilsteins. I also added the rear SRT8 sway and I must say that I am VERY pleased with the ride, I love the additional ride height and stance, and once I get 20's it will be even better. Good luck...and keep us posted

I updated the above...you are right I was thinking H&R/Eibach #'s...talk to Scott about the BWoody's, I am pretty sure that is his set-up

I thought the Bwoody springs were a 2.5-3" drop for non srt gc's? Do you mean the eibachs?

The Bwoody's doesn't just lower a WK...they slam it!! 1-2" drop is Eibach/H&R territory...Bwoody's is way lower....and I don't think there's anything in the middle....lol..

I was just going by scotinas suspension thread where he stated 2.5-3" from the bwoodys.

I didnt think there was anything in the middle which is why I was thinking of getting the wk bilsteins to raid it back up 3/8"s so closer to 2-2.5" drop.

Anyone run this setup?

sounds like a good idea .. try the bwoody and wk bilsteins it could be the perfect fit...

Hopefully someone who has done this will chime in. Im thinking the height will be perfect but I know technically you are supposed to match compression/rebound in suspension components for them to work properly.

Im definitely getting the srt rear sway. New for 75 bucks is a good deal ;)

Also anyone with the Bwoodys do you need to do anything else to make things align properly?

bro....do the wk bilsteins or the SRT bilsteins and the SRT springs and you will be golden. I recommend the SRT Bilsteins and SRT springs....IMHO. Your wife will not like the bwoodys I dont think. The rear end is a little bouncy...even with trimming the bumpstops. The drop with the WK bilsteins and the H&R's or eibachs is not very noticeable...maybe an 1" or 1.25".

Will it sit lower with the srt springs as compared to the eibachs? I can get all 4 srt bilsteins for about 600 but thats still kinda pricey.

Listen to Scott...he knows his ish straight up! And IMHO I agree that your wife will not like a 2"++ drop on a WK, unless she enjoys football and top-fuel drag racing :)

it will be about the same. I agree...there should be a drop spring between the bwoody and the eibach/h&r's. I thnk the SRt stock springs were just a tad lower than the eibachs.

I actually had the WK bilsteins and eibachs and the ride was only about 3/4" lower than stock. Then I went to the SRt Bilsteins and eibachs and I was about 1.25 lower than stock. The SRT Bilsteins and stock SRT springs were about 1.5 lower than stock WK suspension height.

This is my Jeep with WK Bilstiens & Eibach Lowering Springs which lowered the Jeep about 1 inch.

But if you just install the Eibach Lowering Spring and keep the stock shock, that should bring you down a bit more.

I forgot all about that.... the stock shocks can be used with the eibach springs huh...

What about the compression? Wont the shocks be compressed too much? Or is that only if you use the bwoody springs with stock shocks?

Can I use the srt springs with our stock shocks or is that a no no?

yeah...the bwoodys are a little extreme

the srt springs should be fine with the stocks shocks/struts...but may wear them prematurely.

Thanks scott. Looks like i might be looking for some srt springs.

Out of curiosity which spring do you think preforms better? The SRT or the Eibach? The drop is not really too much different but if the eibachs are going to perform better than the stocks or the other way around it could sway my decision.

I think the SRT's performed better for me

Well there ya go. If you come across anyone with the springs send em my way.

I should just be able to pop these in and get the alignment done right? Nothin else needed?

Scottina06

yep....anytime you do a suspension mod....get an alignment.

there should be plenty of SRT springs on the red site...post a want to buy.
