I did this one a few weeks back. Been over booked with fun cars lately. F40, DBS, 997's galore, 993's o'plenty.

This was an attempt to save the car form a repaint. It was purchased with what was called a Griots Stage 3 (I was wrong when I said 5) detail. It's only 58,000 miles from new.

The paint is single stage, which is always rewarding to polish. I think the end result is worth holding off on the full repaint. This as a two day procedure.

Process:
Wash:
CG Citrus Wash
Clay

Polish: Makita Rotary
Meguiars M105 + wool
Meguiars M205 + Orange LC
Menzerna PO 85 to jewel

LSP:
Swissvax Concorso

Interior:
Leatherique
Silk Shine

The owner has new wheel well liners and 17" Fikse wheels on the way.

Those old school M3's are super valuable in like-new condition. Very hard to find.

Here it is going into storage last Sunday:

I actually corrected, or have scheduled to correct, every car in that shot.

Thanks guys.

Swissvax Concorso really comes in handy on single stage red. It give a classic look.

I used to be a dedicated Menzerna SIP/106xx/85xx user.

I started to use this new non-diminishing 105 and 205 this season and i cant put it down. I dont really use the Kevin Brown method as documented, he and I have discussed the process a few times. End result is end result.

I'm confident that there is not much a detailer cant get 99% correct with variations of 105/205/PO85/LSP.

105 is strong. Spritz water and its life suddenly doubles. Using a wool pad and I have cleaned up 1000grit sanding scratches

205 is a the follow up. Mid-to hard paints are brought to perfection. Change the pads around and you will be impressed also

Menz 85 is still the grand finale for softer paints. It takes the finish to a .01mm level of perfection. Rotary with a gold or red pad and 85 to jewel...insanity if you have the time.

I dont follow the KB method religously, I use a rotary and PC combo on most cars.

justin when you have time could you do a quick write up for our jeep paint and what products/pads would be best for the PC and the jeep paint. that would be awesome! thanks!
