Traded the truck yesterday on a 2010 G37 Journey sedan. The truck was raping me on gas with a 60 mile daily commute and gas prices on the rise - and the rumors of $3.50 gas this summer didn't sit too well with me getting 16-17 MPG.

Next mods are probably a set of 5000K D2S bulbs to replace the stockers in the headlights for a bit more of a white/blue light, and a 3000K HID kit for the fogs. Intake and exhaust for sure down the road a bit. Wouldn't mind getting some upgraded sways either and a nice strut bar. Also wanna get a system going, maybe one 12 or two 10's.

It's a sweet ride for sure... plenty of power on tap and handles great.

That's exactly the one I want color and all!!! Just I need AWD. I love how the G doesn't have the fogs intergrated into the headlight housing anymore. Great car! How do you like the 7sp tranny? My other prospects are CTS, and TL Typs SH-AWD. I only wish the G had vented seats. By far best bang for the $ in that class of car IMO.

I originally went to look at a G35S they had there, but the seats weren't that comfortable and the ride was a bit too harsh for me. The 7 speed is great... I thought it would always be searching for the right gear coming out of turns and stuff but there is none of that.

I was also looking at the IS350 (too small), TL Type-S (FWD - no go), 335i (felt small inside), A4 and A6 (wary about reliability). Never really considered the CTS but they are sweet rides.

Haha yeah I would have kept the truck if I still lived 7 miles from work but I live 30 miles away now.

Yeah I hear crazy things about Audi. The IS is small. My ex had one. Built good and drives nice just small. Good luck with her. Shell rock with intake and exhaust!

oh no it has a 3 spoke steering wheel.

oh no i need to know every nuance of the nav.

oh no, does it have the heated lumbar that comes on when I do the remote start and the temp is above 60.

sorry i thought this was a wk2

anyway, nice ride bro:thumbsup: very classy color and chrome amount is tasteful.
even the analog clock is just classy right there.

all the best!

This is where Nissan went wrong with the maxima. Same engine in a FWD and too much tq. Everyone I know has the new max isn't crazy about it. Lots of power in FWD =skips.

Exactly why I didn't go with the TL Type-S. I used to have a Dodge Intrepid R/T back in the day and that only had 250 HP and had torque steer like a mofo.

Hey Nate just wanted to let you know they are releasing the newly redesigned Acura TL SH AWD tomorrow at the Chicago Auto show. Supposedly they are toning down the front "beak" a little bit. I too am looking at the TL, G 37 coupe, and A5 and thought you would be interested.

Really I didn't know that. I can't wait to see it. But I like the size of the G. I don't want to look like a mid aged dentist in the family car. LOL Again I'm glad Infiniti woke up and put the fogs where they should be not integrated in the headlight housings. I think I may stick with my signature storm trooper look. I'd like to have it wrapped in matte white.

The G35S I went to the dealer to look at originally was white... pretty sick looking.

They also had a new IPL G37S there.. soooo dope:

Yeah the IPL is sick looking. I'm not crazy about the ground effects and for the price difference IMP it should have more power.

LTrainGC
02-09-2011, 05:47 AM
I 100% agree on the more power.

I pulled the trigger on some morimoto 5000k D2S bulbs last night, and a 3000k H8 kid for the fogs last night.

Apparently you have to remove the wheels to get to the headlights... hoping I can find a way around that lol.

Yeah new cars are crazy like that. I had to remove the front grill and headlights to change the light build on a 2010 ram.

Oooooh That got my nipples hard! That's pretty sick!!! How much if you don't mind me asking?

LTrainGC
03-25-2011, 06:24 AM
The start/stop button is $40 and the guy who modded it only charged $25, with shipping back to me included.

The stock button is white with "start/stop" in black letters - and it is backlit white, and then "lock/acc/on" are all amber, and "engine" does not light up at all.

White WK Swagga
03-25-2011, 06:26 AM
Whaaaaat? It should be stock that way! I like how it tells you what mode it's in...

LTrainGC
03-25-2011, 06:33 AM
Yeah it's fun to watch when I start the car haha... it cycles from "lock" to "acc" to "on" when the car starts, red to yellow to GREEN!!

Hopefully going to be getting intakes soon... just got to decide what I want.

Cool! I always likes how in my EX lexus how the cluster would cycle the lights in the needles.

Looks good, I guess I never knew you traded the truck in awhile ago.

LTrainGC
03-25-2011, 07:43 AM
Yeah, knew gas prices were gonna be going up and driving 60 miles a day I couldn't justify the cost of fuel when I rarely used my truck as an actual truck. Glad I got rid of it when I did. It's still sitting on the lot where I traded it, priced $2,000 below what they gave me for it.
