too bad we can't paint the top rim of the rotors!!!!
I know.. I was thinking about that, but not sure if it will screw anything up.. My hubs were rusted just like the top of my rotors are.

yeah im not sure if that would mess up anything or not. mine are rusty too!!!
I hear ya.. I just went out and looked at them.. I think it's feasible to paint them, but just not sure if it will last or cause any harm.

yeah what if the paint chipped and got caught in-between the pad and the rotor? i wonder if that would be bad!
I'm not sure.. I got a little paint on the rotor while painted the hubs and I think the pads just rubbed it off.

I painted the rim of my rotors. It hasn't given me any problems. This is the second set of rotors I have painted the rim on also.
Yours look good. Nice job.
Nice, good deal.. I may have to give them a go round maybe today or tmrw..
Thanks BTW.

NICE!!! no phone pics!!! LOL
lol that's all I got right now dude.
My camera is missing the software to upload pics on my laptop, but my friend actually has a memory card reader I've been meaning to try out.

nice!!! what kind of memory stick does ur camera take? what camera is it? i might be able to get the soft to you!
It's an older canon powershot model. I think it uses a CF I or II card. I've used a memory card reader in the past and it worked fine on my moms pc, but I bought one a while back but couldn't figure out how to install the driver correctly for some reason.
This one my buddy has should work though, I just forgot until now that he had it. I'll be busting out my real cam again shortly don't worry. lol
I have a road trip up to VT in a couple of weeks, and plan on taking many, many pics along the way. Some real rural shots like.

nice!!! sounds like a fun trip!!! i also have an older canon(i keep all my older cameras) as well and take a cf card. i had a s50 i believe.
Nice, those powershots are decent little cams. I've had mine since college and it's still going strong.. That thing traveled all over S. America with me and took some great shots. I think mine is the s400.

YOu should be fine to go ahead and paint trhe sides of the rotor. The last set I did I actually had the whole rotor powdercoated. Then I had my buddy at the brake shop turn the powdercoat off of the pad surface. Ran it like this for years with no problems

looks a lot cleaner Chris!
to answer one thing-I painted the edge of my rotors with the G2 and they are fine. Any paint you get on them...just hit it with some sandpaper. the paint residue on the pads could cause squeaking

Thanks Scott.
Cool, I'll keep that in mind.. I got a little paint on the rotors when painting the wheel hubs, but I think most of it came off after driving around a bit. I need to replace my pads soon anyways.
One of my good buddies works at Napa and he gets me sick deals on new parts. Gotta love that.
I just got a free new jug of armor all tire shine and a full bottle of ice detailing wax from him.:D
I might go over my calipers again. My buddy just found some tan colored paint at work which might match my exterior.
Getting discounted parts is amazing.. I can get new high performance ceramic pads on all four brakes for $80, and nice new rotors for about the same.. Already comes with the hub and outer rim painted black too.

Looks nice!!! Did you do it your self? How long did it take?
Thx. All in all it only took a couple of hours for the hubs and calipers.

Nice job on the wheels and brake calipers.
As for painting the rim, you should be able to do it, just use paint that will withstand the heat and don't spray the rotors.
