Jet stage one chip issue

i drive a 3.7L and decided to install a jet stage one chip
i followed the install instructions properly, i disconnected the battery terminal and then removed all the ECU terminals then plugged the chip into the proper slot... reconnected everything the car started up no problems no check engine light so i thought everything was fine

about 300 miles into the install, the Electronic Throtle control light began to blink... i pulled over and disconnected the chip http://s65.photobucket.com/albums/h216/jod0n/photo.jpg
so far it hasnt been any issue

this did happen before when i first installed it earlier in the spring...
any sugguestions, i wrote jet but they havent gotten back to me

Mkae sure the chip is FULLY inserted in the computer. Alot of times it may seem like it is,but it actually isnt. I had a similiar problem with a stage 2 in my Hemi

i also bought a stage 1 for the 4.7. i have the same problem currently. it threw two codes when i tried to install it without pulling the ecu. i called tech support, they said remove the ecu, and firmly (which really means stomp on it) insert the chip into the ecu until you hear an audible click. then reinstall the ecu and it should work fine. i have yet to do that yet. anyone have tips or anything on how to remove the ecu in a 2001 GC? there is a bunch of stuff in the way

how do you guys like the jet chip? when its workin fine at least, other then the current issues?

If you have a 3.7L that's your only option. If you have a 4.7,5.7, or 6.1.... get a tuner and you'll have your money worth with it.

A Jet chip will only work for a short time after you install it, by richening the mixture or advancing the timing curve, until the ecu then relearns its original parameters, overwriting the changes made with the chip installed, then making the chip useless.
