RUST ON MY 07 Jeep SRT8!! F*&%!!!

Ok so over the last couple of days i have been srtipping my Jeep and getting it ready to have a brand new paint job and Audio Installed. I have another thread on the Audio upgrade.

But back to the problem...if you look at the pics there is rust on both Driver and Passenger upper door jams. It is behind the molding they put in to hold the weather stripping. When we pulled the moldings off Jeep didnt even paint behind the moldings and it is bare metal. How can they do that and not expect problems?
What should i do? Go after Jeep to pay me back for fixing this? Since my Jeep is being totally repainted it is already going to be fixed but I feel Jeep should be held responsible for this. Am I wrong???

I would DEF try and contact Jeep. no way there should be rust like that on a 4 yo car IMO

thats awful. doesnt look like its irreversible but its tough to see that on your own truck. has it eaten through all the way or just on the surface?

In 2 spots it has eaten all the way through and there are 2 holes the size of dimes.
What sucks is I just got off the phone with the body shop manager from Jeep and he said I have to bring it in to them to take pictures and all this other crap. I told him my Jeep was in pieces because it is getting a new paint job anyway. So I guess I am just going to eat the extra cost to have it grinded out and fixed. Jeep really pissed me off. They are not willing to help at all! :mad:
