they havent made these for the Jeep yet. but you can go to headlightsupercenter.com to see them for the LX.

the difference with these is they come with a voltage regulator. so you can adjust the brightness.

Right Escape. LEDs so we dont have any fires. Also, with the voltage regulators, you can adjust the brightness......

I know you have the CCFL's, BE SAFE and be sure to use a relay and a fused power wire to those 110v converters............

You know it man, Heck I'm thinking about chopping up some of my old turnout gear and making a Nomex (fireproof) box for them as protection. No meltdowns here!

If there does happen to be a fire I'm putting a Boosted 426 in it then!

robpp
08-13-2009, 06:15 PM
but better!

these are LED, standard 12 v. come with voltage regulator so you can adjust brightness.

the CCFLs have a 110V power inverter that goes on fire quite a bit.

How bout install? Are these still a PAIN in the A$$ to install. Do they require taking the headlight assembly apart, and then putting them in the oven to re-seal?

They look great, would def get them, but dont think I have the patience for the install.

Ok GUYS. Steve says we are all set to go.

I will send PM's with this same data.

For the GB, you will recieve the lights of the color you chose. Why this took so long was we had to get voltage regulators made to limit the juice to no more than 12 v going to the leds. That has led to a ton of extra cost that wasnt planned for in the beginning.

So Steve has said he will absorb the cost of the regulators if we will absorb the shipping.

And also, he has matching fogs for 89 more. the regulator can handle up to six rings so you only need the one regulator.

So for the guys on the GB he is ready for payment.

It will be 149 plus 12 for ground or 17 for express shipping. Minus your initial payment
(75?). YOu need to send paymet via paypal to steve at flashproducts@gmail.com

be sure to include address and forum name so they can match you up with the deposit.

I personally cant wait.........

i went and bought a small fire extinguisher. J/K. But I was on guard. I wasnt multi tasking for sure.

Take the back of the light apart. remove all that rubber back and plastic back there. strip it down as much as possible. of course heat them face up.

and be VERY careful of the mounts. figure out that before you put them i nthe oven. I used some towels and a big piece of duct tape to fill in between the mounts while you are trying to take them apart.

if you have trouble, let them cool a little then back in the oven.

Here is a little write up for everyone on how I did it.

After your lights are apart and either before or after painting them. Tape off where you will be drilling your lights for the halo power wires to fit through.
http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e295/My_Kiddos/JAMES%20STUFF/IMG_0015.jpg

Test fit them and mark where the leads will go through at.
http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e295/My_Kiddos/JAMES%20STUFF/IMG_0016-1.jpg
http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e295/My_Kiddos/JAMES%20STUFF/IMG_0017-1.jpg

Drill the holes with the blue tape still on so you don't mess the finish.
http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e295/My_Kiddos/JAMES%20STUFF/IMG_0018.jpg

Test fit them to make sure they align where you want them to sit at.
http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e295/My_Kiddos/JAMES%20STUFF/IMG_0019-1.jpg

Apply 3M automotive adhesive tape to the back of the Halo.
http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e295/My_Kiddos/JAMES%20STUFF/IMG_0013.jpg

BE CAREFUL ON THIS STEP...you have 1 shot at it...once it's stuck it's there FOREVER! Now fish the leads through and align the Halo's where you want and stick them.
http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e295/My_Kiddos/JAMES%20STUFF/IMG_0020.jpg

Repeat and you have this.
http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e295/My_Kiddos/JAMES%20STUFF/IMG_0021.jpg

Now you just need seal up the headlights, Black silicone adhesive works well, wire them up and install. I haven't got that far yet will post more when I do.

And here is a teaser pic of the XRT8 Punisher. I still have to get my RamMedic hood (should be this or next week), install the Halos and rims and tires, the winter ones are on it right now.

I'll soon have a full wiring write up with pics on the wiring too.

I wired mine into the parking lights without cutting any of the factory wiring! To deactivate the 3157 parking lights simply remove one of the inner contact wires on the light bulb (inside ones are the parking, outside ones are the blinker). Wired the activation lead into the factory relay for the parking lights, no need for the ground (Lead #16) as I'm alread using a full factory circuit.

Here are some pics of my 10,000K Halo's:
