View Full Version : REC GPS DVD upgrade.

Today I had to go to an expo center in Oaks PA. To my surprised, my REC GPS didn't even acknowledge the town the center is located. I had to use my iPhone for directions.. The place seem fairly new but, come on! I thought I had the latest DVD version. :mad:

Anyway, does anyone knows what is the part # for the latest DVD geographic database disc for REC?
Does anyone have a copy of the in-motion version?
Are they gonna keep making new versions, even after MyGig?

The Oaks Expo Center is kinda new, but the area of Oaks has been incorporated for a while now. Weird...

yep...Will has the in motion hack too....ag disc and hack for $15

heres Will's email guys.....the REC AG disc and in motion hack is $15. No idea on the My GIG...but I dont think so. Email him to see....

There is an AH version (March 2009) in the works right now. Not sure when it is going to be released. AG is the December 2008 edition.

well....Will keeps up on the versions and I'm pretty sure as soon as the AH comes out...he will get it figured out

Please explain these "hacks"...what do they provide access to? More features? I have no clue about this

the REC you cannot use while the truck is in motion, even the passenger.....his hack allows that. there may be more....but I dont know

for mygig hack i think you need the extra cable that cost $200

My nav doesn't even pick up on a bridge and highway that have been there for 15 years where I live. My Lincoln does the same thing. The Pioneer Nav I had in my truck picked up on it though.

OH I WANT THIS! REC...what does that stand for? Can you use the DVD while driving as well? I am going to email him...anyone done this yet with MyGig????? Thanks Scott

REC is the 05-07 navigation system. Email him...he may have something for MyGig
