Photo isn't mine but it shows the car, I lost my photos on Photobucket of it... :(

Problem was it had a Mitsubushi GDi (gasoline direct injection) motor which were known to have dodgy hydraulic tappets and it started at 40k. Sounded like a diesel for a while until warm. You could replace them (£1k+) but the design of the engine was flawed so it would come back so I traded it in for the WJ.

I have photos...but they're from the late 70's and I would have to scan them. Anyways my first car was a 59 Corvette that I got as a present when I was 14. It was a complete basket case. I spent the next 3 years learning how to do fiberglass and painting. I had it done for my senior year in HS. I was ballin back then...now not so much. LOL.

This was the exact same car my father gave me when I was 14. Told me I could do whatever with it, maybe fix it up to drive it by the time I was 16.

I sold it for $200.

Purchased my first car when I was 18... was a 1989 Mercury Cougar XR7. I had the interior redone, and put custom wheels on it in the first 6 months that I owned it. I totaled it 2 years later.

This was not mine but it is the same color and has the exact same wheels on it. Only difference was mine had a chrome grill. I miss that car so much.

My first car was a fully loaded Grey 2005 Dodge Ram Laramie 1500 with the 5.7L Hemi. I got it for my 16'th birthday (Spoiled I know). Well on my way to school one rainy morning I was maneuvering a left turn when this chick in a green chevy car was trying to stop for the red light but skided onto the intersection hitting me on the rear right side of my truck as i was turning, sending me directly into a concrete pole. That completely totaled my Ram.

I miss this car, it was so much fun, ran a 13.7 @ 98mph with 24" slicks, and 14.25 @ 101 all night long on crappy street tires, which for the tiny turbo at a factory 10psi (after the boost creep settled down) and crappy open diff front wheel drive I was quite pleased with it. Had alot of people scratching their head when I blew a new 6 liter gto off the line and held 2 car lenghts on him till 3/4ths track ha ha.

I got it as a entirely blue stock escort when I was 17, and this is what it was when I dismantled it when I got married ;( have I said i miss it? because I do!

My first car was a 1985 Cherokee 4 door, 2WD. Had the 2.8L V6 in it (the 4.0 didn't come out until 1986), 3 speed auto. My parents bought it brand new in 1985, and it was handed down to me when I turned 16 in 2000.

It was white and had blue vinyl interior and my parents special ordered it with NO carpet anywhere in it so it would be easy to clean when my sister and I made a mess of it as kids. Manual windows, manual door locks. It was a great first vehicle.

Had a red/maroon 94 Chevy S10 Blazer. Had it for a few months and the head gasket blew, then the trans, was becoming a money pit and it wasn't that special so dumped that and got my Jeep! Best decision ever, love her to death and hope to keep it forever, maybe pass it to the kids one day haha

'98 Honda Accord EX V6 coupe. Loved that car. When it was passed on to me in mid '02, it had 125K on it. It kept eating transmissions, so after the first few months, my dad and I went halfsies on an '03 Dodge Dakota SXT 2WD V6 M/T single cab. fun truck. I'd take another one just like it but with a 4.7.
