I see. I have a different security system also. I think it will also not work together. Thanks for the advice. I just needed a 2nd opinion.

I have the OEM remote start. It works great. Even from the other side of the building thru the warehouse it works. And when I get in and hit the brake it doesn't shut off. I just wish there was a way to get out of the jeep and take the key out and keep it running.

I know Irf. Just someone could break the window or something and they got the truck with a key. My GF lexus is the push button start and if it's running w/o the key in the car it shuts off when you go to pull off.

I like my remote start. Come out of the office and it's like 100 outside and get in the Jeep and it's good and cool. Just insert the key and turn it to on and drive away.

Yeah I like it too...my commute to work is less than two miles so I pretty much everyday fire it up in the garage via remote start so it warms up...and for cool mornings it is great to get into a pre-heated car :)

That's the ONLY thing I miss about my Avenger. It had an aftermarket remote start so when I got in, everything was nice and toasty or cold. :p I work outside too, so if it's freezing, to get into a nice hot car is extremely nice.

I have it installed in my WK. Fairly easy to do... The worst part was probably tapping the tach wire into the coil pack. Works well! I did upgrade to the two-way remotes and sends a signal back to the remote when the truck starts or stops.

I have it! had a shop install it. It works well although I wish the range was better but that was expected.

( Nice avatar LOLz.. )
The remote start it nice.. don't say Chrysler doesn't do anything for you when it comes factory in most 07+ models
If you already have aftermarket, sell the old one and get a complete alarm w/ remote start so there is no confusion within the system.

yes, once u get in the car you stick the key in and just move it to the normal position when the car is on and running, then it will let u drive away.

Nate, with most remote start systems, if you press the start button on the remote once or twice while the vehicle is running and in park, it should flash the lights one or two times and you should be able to remove the key and leave it running.

cost me around 100 to install.
Keep in mind it is not a security alarm AND remote start like aftermarket vipers etc etc. ie....most place want to charge alot for that labor.
This is stock.
This comes with detailed instructions for our jeeps and will be a no brainer for a seasoned installer
