View Full Version : Getting 2" lift today

Im getting a Daystar 2" lift today. Going to do this myself so i need your help with what i will need. List of tools, steps to take when doing it, etc.. help me out with your experience.
NOT GETTING LIFT NOW. FUNDS FELL THROUGH. KEEP POSTING STILL BECAUSE I WILL GET IT IN FUTURE.

ive done two lifts, just follow the directions and have some band-aids around, couple beers and some music too!

haha ohhh boy!

ok first, you're going to need all the normal hand tools the kit tells you.

Also, do yourself a favor and go buy some PB blast or some other penetrating lube and shoot thr CRAP out of all the bolts you see on the install directions. Leave it for as long as possible. Mine were lubed twice a day for two days before i did mine... comes from a long history of rusty bolts on other jeeps, i did it overkill, lol.

Dont be shy to get the jeep as high up in the air as possible and get as much wheel droop as possible. makes it easier to get to the springs. I did mine on a lift.

Another one, DONT disconnect the rear control arm if you can help it. We did it (as per the rock krawler directions) and the rear end ended up twisting, it took two 3 foot crowbars to get the axle to rotate....

I would help you out since I have done quite a few on the WK but I will be in Denver all weekend.

Its perfect if i can get you and jlewissytem because we all live in STL and he's done it before as well. But for now i do not have it. I was going to get it through Dalo Auto in SOCO but things didnt work out
