Are my rims coated?

I have an 07 gc. It has the factory rims standard with the laredo. I believe they are 17" orbitek aluminum rims with satin finish, according to wkjeeps,com. However, I would like some advice on whether they are coated or uncoated aluminum? Any help would be appreciated...

The reason I ask is because I want to use Mothers mag and aluminum polish on them but the can says not for painted or coated metals... is anyone else using this polish safely?

they are painted/ not RAW aluminum.

get another wheel cleaner that is safe/

Robs got it. But FWIW, no wheels after probably some time in the 80s have been raw aluminum. The OEM will clearcoat them in a protectant (like the factory SRT wheels) OR paint them in a color - like your 17"ers finished in satin.

I always had good success shooting on some TW F21 and then rubbing them down with a wet MF or cleaning device of choice. They'll come out looking brand new!
