i have recently bought 2003 diesel grand cherokee , could anyone tell me where fuel filter is fitted ? 2.7 diesel

Should be an in line filter near your fuel tank. You'll see it easily enough.

have looked from tank to front of firewall and the only thing i found was a water

trap with switch on bottom ,

had warning lamp on top l/hcorner of dash come on hopenjohn

I have a filter just along from the tank (I've got a new one sitting in the garage, that I've not got round to fitting yet) but IIRC there's a filter in the tank too, I'd have to confirm this, but I can't imagine the CRD set up underneath is much different to the V8.

Fuel filter and water separator is in the same unit. namely, on the driver side of the motor, rounded think with three tubes on the top. At the bottom is water releif valve with water sensor on the side.
