Sweet. Are they the same as the last set you had? Those things were like HID bright.

blackpepper
08-27-2009, 06:32 PM
Yeah they're the same, and yes they're pretty damn bright from what I remember.
One side seems to always burn out, I think it's because of the aftermarket fitment so I'm crossing my fingers this time.

Cool. Good Luck.

I was very close to buying those same bulbs a while back right before the HID conversion.

Post some new pics of those bad boys once you put them in.

sweet Ryan...will you post up some pics? Does it replace the entire housing, are they in addition to stock fogs, or we just talking bulbs? Sorry for the barrage of questions, but I am close to ordering HID's and I know you like quality $hit

blackpepper
08-27-2009, 06:40 PM
LOL, nothing but the best for this guy!

They are bulbs, I've seen yellow projector housings on eBay but no thank you.. these are bright enough but one day I'd like to line them up against some 3k HIDs. I'll get pics later but here's a teaser.

the threading? I think moisture gets in from there otherwise it seems pretty tight...

Be careful and check on them from time to time. I had a set like that in my Altima cause I thought it would go good with the stock HID's. they looked great at first but then I noticed that it was getting less yellow and more white. When I pulled a bulb out to look at it the yellow was melting off of the bulb. I yanked those puppies out and threw the stockers back in.

Pssst... dealers suck! (shhh)

I agree.. I adjusted my fog lights now they're nice and center and even, too.

I've been through two sets of these in the past and my second set was much more yellow than the first. I figured the first set had been sitting in the warehouse for a long time... although I've never seen the yellow melt off the bulb, I wouldn't be surprised if the quality deteriorated over time.
Sweet Ryan...that looks clean! Those puppies are bright!!! Thanks for the info
You're welcome, Brad.

Not trying to jack your thread, but I just bought a set of these for my high beams, got them for $20 local at a performance shop, hopefully they are decent.

^^Keep your receipt, id say spend the extra 20 and go to walmart and buy silverstars. Or look on ebay you can usually get a set for 25. Im running 6k lows and silverstars, lights up everything on the road and then some.

umm . . . I guess I should delete that post :o

well, what makes them any different than normal HID's?

blackpepper
08-29-2009, 09:01 AM
EZY - what's your trick? How do you keep the parking lights off b/c I'd love to roll around with the fogs on and not have the tail lights on, too. Gotta keep those tinted tails black! lol

Dylan - They are halogen bulbs as opposed to high intensity discharge bulbs (hids) and are designed to mimic hids like the silverstar ultra bulbs mimic hids for the headlights.

Scottina06
08-29-2009, 09:03 AM
EZY-has aftermarket fogs

these would be great for me cuz I definately need more lighitng when it rains and HID's require a transformer or what ever it's callled.

Ryan he has his on a separate hookup, so he can do that. We can't. :(

Relay. Just make sure you get the right size.. I should add that this size is WK/XK specific.

The halogens are for my high beam, I hardly ever use my high beam so I'm sure they'll work, HID's for my fogs and low :)

Knightrider03m
08-29-2009, 12:48 PM
Have anybody put 3000K in their hi beams? I've been thinking about do this but don't really know how much better the light would be.

rufdod
09-16-2009, 10:15 PM
hey, i have the same bulbs, i've had them for 2 months maybe... no problems yet. I wanted 2500k or 3k hids, i have 2 extra hid kits, i just havent felt like wiring them up so i ordered the nokyas. I did notice the first time i put them in, i thought they were installed completely but when i looked closer you really have to turn them hard to snap in fully.

blackpepper
09-17-2009, 12:58 AM
They are a great assist in both fog and inclement weather, Paul!

rufdod - Yeah man, they are a PITA to fully lock into the housing I blame the aftermarket fitment. If I ever go down the HID route, I'm going to keep them to the low beams and stick with the nokyas.. great product.
