I'm looking to possibly add some led strips to the interior of my jeep. Maybe put a 1' led strip under the dash and at the rear bottom of the front seats to light uo the floor area. I'm thinking of using these.

My questions are:

1. Can I tap into the origional lighting under the dash without having any problems?

2. What would I need to be able to control the light? Like a dimmer of some sort.

3. Would I need a resistor?

Because they use so little power you can just splice into the existing interior light harnesses. And because of adding these you might even find the resistor you have in the cargo area is no longer needed because of the "extra" current draw, which might equal out to a stock halogen bulb. But you know these dam Jeeps and there insane wiring, so i'd get some splice taps from homedepot and just try it. Im betting it will work great.

I was looking to use those along the bottom of my front bumper, like the Startech WK's have the led's. I would just tape into the fog light harness for the 12 volt power supply. I already have 18 smt led towers for the fog light bulbs now so im sure I wont be blowing fuses or anything.
