I'm searching various wreckyards and ebay for some spare wheels to mount some winter tires on (might as well start now!).

I recall reading a thread that said all 2005-2009 WK wheels fit on any WK without spacers.

Now in searching ebay, there are lots of wheels for 2005-2007, but they don't say they fit on 2008.

Does anyone know if all 2005-2009 WK wheels are interchangeable is there a difference in the 2008-2009 wheels?

Im not 100% sure, but I would think 05-09 are all the same. I will try and find out for you. Google time.

Oh, and i have my stock rims from my 05 Laredo, I really dont think I will be using them anymore. Just going to run these srt reps on year round, why not right? So i will prob be selling em.

thanks for the replies guys!

I will try to find a set of 4 stock wheels with the TPMS already on.

Not sure why the ebay sellers do not say their wheels fit newer than '07, seems they are missing a market for guys like me looking for an affordable set of spare wheels.

The only reason there is a year differentiation on the internet is because of the year it was offered on the jeep. Some wheels were only offered on certain years.

I have 18" 2008 Wrangler sahara wheels for me jeep, they will fit all years.

The wrangler X and rubicon 17" wheels will only fit 05s and some 06s because in 06 they changed the brake calipers on the wk and those wrangler wheels will not fit on newer jeeps.

But All WK wheels will fit all years of Wk jeeps, if you are looking to commanders and Wranglers you may need to do some more research first but 90% of them will fit as well.

Most WJ 17" wheels will fit as well and vise versa but not the WJ 16" wheels.

Most WJ 17" wheels will fit as well and vise versa but not the WJ 16" wheels.

great, I was wondering about interchanging with other jeeps too.

Glad i could help, If you find a set of stock jeep wheels from another model you want, post it up here and i am sure we can tell you if they will fit or not.

No XJ cherokee(84 to 01) wheel will fit, No ZJ grand cherokee (93 to 98) wheel will fit and no WJ grand cherokee (99 to 04) 16" wheel will fit, No KJ Liberty wheel will fit, and obv, no compass and patriot wheels will fit, No YJ/TJ wrangler (86 to 95 and 96 to 06) wheels will fit. Most JK wrangler 17" plus wheels will fit but like i said some may not depending on year of the WK.

too bad the WK can't fit my rims lol, I like them and since they're smaller they weigh less than your heavy 17's and 18's lol which is great for gas mileage. I'm looking for a set of light weight 18's though. :D

unless you know fgor a fact your wheels are lighter.....I wouldnt post it as a certainty

their most likely lighter since the WK's tire profile, width, and rim size are larger than the WJ's so I think it'd be safe to say that my tire assembly is lighter than the WKs :)

laredo, limited, overland, and possibly SRT (that's if'y though)

That means nothing, its all in the technology that went in to the design the wheels. They are making materials that can be lighter and stronger but still be bigger then its predecessors.

For all you know, stock WK 17s might be lighter then yours because of technology and materials used.

Be careful what year the wheels are off of.. There are different TPMS sensors for different years that may not be compatible..Check on WKJEEPS.com for the fitments

yeah Scot is right....I didnt mention the TPM sensors becasue most people pull them off. But if you do get a set...they may not be compatible with your 08

thanks! I just did a quick check and my 08 needs 08-09 sensors. The 05 wheels I was looking at had sensors that won't work for me. :(

maybe I could sell the 05 sensors on ebay if I end up buying the wheels.

I would say there would be interest on here as well

I am fairly certain that you can interchange the sensors with wheels. So you can put 08/09 sensors on 05 wheels.

Id rather you stay in the off topic forums since 99.9% or maybe 100% of the time you have no idea what your posting. If you were an adult and could admit it....yuo would admit you are guessing.

Do you think the 17" WK wheels are lighter than the 20" SRT wheels because they are smaller?

idiot......

I'm way out in western Canada, British Columbia. So quite a ways from Detroit. :)

I found a set of four WK '05 wheels with tires and TPMS for $575 US shipped. The tires and wheels look good, but I will need to swap the '05 TPMS for the '08 TPMS.
