Do you guys think there is a significant advantage for a 2wd 5.7L WK compared to a 4wd 5.7L WK...?

The 2WD maybe faster. AWD systems only help when your car is super powerful. With the way that the computer limit cars for 1st gear, your engine isn't powerful at start up lol

I'll take whatever I can get to go faster.. my goal is to be in TBSS territory by the end of November.I always wanted to race a stock TBSS at the track when I had the 5.7L.
I'm sure that now with the Predator and UD Pulley you'll be on their territory and they might not like it :). Imagine... they would feel terrible to loose to a 5.7L and they can just picture the results vs a 6.1L

Do you guys think there is a significant advantage for a 2wd 5.7L WK compared to a 4wd 5.7L WK...?There's only one way to find out... bring it to a track and find someone with same mods and 4WD :). Line them up and let's see...

The 2WD maybe faster. AWD systems only help when your car is super powerful. With the way that the computer limit cars for 1st gear, your engine isn't powerful at start up lolLOL What??? We are talking about V8 HEMIs over here.... I think the 60ft are just fine for what they are.

But also less traction! All I have to say is AWD :ftmfw:

I think they are pretty quick off the line, they cut good 60ft marks considering their weight, 4WD and hp/tq.

If I can get my hands on a UD and then you combine that with a COLD day at ATCO. Can you say 13.9? :DAs a matter of fact, yes, just ask Ryan... that's exactly what I told him today.

I wasn't saying that it wasn't quick. I think that it could be quicker since the computer doesn't give you full power at 1st.

Thanks for fixing my dumb moment guys :thumbsup:Sorry Marcus, I don't understand. Where did you read that the computer doesn't give you full power at 1st? Personally I think that for the hp/tq and weight of the vehicle the numbers that pulls are about right.

Yes all stock tunes are kind of holding you back a little but that's why there's tuners out there to get a little better results. But we are talking stock 5.7L numbers right?

I would like to point out that Mario mentioned to me me that the UD hasn't strained anything electrical in his street and racing tech thingy :D I had read concerns that a UD pulley could dim the lights, make the a/c less effective and also heard that raising the idle rpms might be a good idea but Mario reports no issues.

I am powering a 600w amp so I'll probably raise the idle rpm up 100rpm if I notice anything.. remember my goal is early November.. power over rims for the win! (it's like a right brain/left brain struggle :D)

IDK the record for a 4.7.

what is the record for the wk 4.7 V8? Do you need pics of a slip or is a pic of superchips good enough?Well, so far all I've seen is the one set by someone name Chaz that raced at Etown back in 2007 with a Laredo 4.7L and ran 16.1.
So why not...? Let's set that as the number to beat from now (9/23/09)

Robert Palmer

Tman and I have the same tune.

Wheels;

Elvis: 17in Chrome Stockers
