Ok it's still in negotiations and not yet official. I know were going to need the min 20 members to sign up. This is just a feeler for now to see where we stand and we'll go from there. I don't have any prices yet but I hope to by mid week. The normal price is $27. for 2' and $15. For 1'. There are many uses for these. I plan on buying 2 sets. One set of cool white for the LED DRL eyebrow and a red set for some hidden led tail or brake in the rear. It comes in 6", 1', and 2'. The 08+ WK will need 17" to go from the front grill, under the headlamp humps all the way to the end by the amber blinker along the bottom. So I recommend the 2' and cutting it down to size. The 05-07 WK's I'm not sure how long of a piece you would need. Someone please chime in on that. I'll post pics when I'm able to. There are some pics here on the last few pages of this thread.

You can put me down for two 2' cool white ones. But I will update this when I see how long my lights are. In fact, if I wasn't such a puss about it, I would open up my lights and have it wrapped around my projectors. I wonder what I would have to do to make them DRLs on a car that isn't DRL?
I'll probably be down for a couple 2' in cool white.

These go on with 3m tape on the back. The LED's are mounted on the side so it's more visable when mounted under the light or wherever.
http://i629.photobucket.com/albums/uu14/LATENATE78/led2.jpg
They can be wires however you want. It's made for a 12v circuit so you can tap into almost anywhere and run the line for the switch or wire them in with the fogs. I'm going to do a write up for it. I orderes a B/S LED strip on EBAY to play around with to get the wiring right before these come. I want to have them on all the time as a Daytime Running Light and have then blink with the blinkers. I'm going this route because I'm not crazy about opening up my headlights without a back up/spare set. Also I'm thinking about doing some kind or red led brake light in the rear someplace with these.

Not enough yet. I'm going to see if he'll do 10% off for 10 people. Alex I've been talking to Jason (lipschitzwarth) and he told me how to wire them to be on all the time while the car is started as a DRL and with a relay they can blink with the blinkers. or you can run the NEG wire to the dash and put any kind of switch you want and come out the switch and ground it anywhere. When I get my BS LED's from eBay I'll do the preeiring for these and do a write up with pics.

I know along the bottom of the light it's 17" from the grill, under the humps to the end on the side where the amber reflector is. like in this pic where the blue line is. But the LED strips come in 1' or 2'. So it would be best to get the 2' and cut it down to size. I'm sure 2' is long enough to do the top humps of the light too...
http://i629.photobucket.com/albums/uu14/LATENATE78/01-12.jpg
will you be showing us the whole process from installing them to wiring it through the car??
Yes. I am going to wire them
1-to be on perm when the car is running and they will flask on and off with the blinkers. But I'll do a write up on how to
2- Wire them with a switch in the dash
3- In with the fogs so they will be on whenever you have the fogs on.
Method 2 & 3 are mose easiest. Method 1 requires 2 relays. But it can be done.
Cool.. I think I'm going to go w/ option 2.. I would like to be able to run them independently from a switch if possible.
White WK Swagga
09-01-2009, 07:30 AM
Thats easy.
1-From cig lighter tap into power wire , run wire thru whatever switch you want in the dash, run line down to led's and come out led's and ground to the frame.
2-Tap into any 12v power wire, run through the LED's then run the NEG wire to the dash and put any kind of switch you want and come out the switch and ground it anywhere.
Method 1 would prob be best to have the switch before the load. But LED's are barely a load at all. I'll do the write up when I get my BS ebay led's. Also it's recomended to use 18ga wire.
lol a writeup will def help out here.
I installed my own HID's, but that's as far as my electronic wiring skills go.

Irf after the led's are mounted this is going to be easier than the cargo LED's or HID's. The relay can be a lil tricky but I understand the wiring concept of it.

I typed in "LED light strip" on ebay and found some for cheaper. The guys selling out of the US are just buying from china and marking the prices up. Just my 2 cents. Lol.
I have been using wardenjp on ebay for my LED bulbs, IMO great prices and quality products. The LED "WK LED kit" I got off ebay is junk and the bulbs already failed on me, ended up strobing on me all the time. I have the 13 watt red LEDs I got off him that I still need to figure how to install without blowing the break light fuse, but these bulbs are awesome.

The "flank" style i have in my licence plate and rear overhead door lights, look at work great.
Nate what's the deal with the GB?
I came up with a new idea to place a small strip along the top of the headlight.

To be honest with you Chris, I think it's a no go. The guy asked me gor 20 orders and we don't even have 10 people signed up. And the post from Alex you get 2 sets of 2 foot LED for $25. On eBay and they're the same ones as these in the GB. I still plan on doing the write up how to wire them when I get the cheap ones from eBay as a test run.
---------- Post added at 12:59 AM ---------- Previous post was at 12:57 AM ----------
And I like that idea over the headlight. Um going to mount them that way and see how I Luke it too.
ok cool.. I guess I'll wait it out until you get yours.
I kind of like the way they are in the pic I posted. I didn't want a big strip, just a small one that will accentuate the shape of the headlight a bit.

I found some from japan or china I think for like $2.50 each shipped. My only worry is finding some that match the dual LED blinker or low bean HID's I have in. I would want it exact. so it fits in. And I have actually been noticing now a few cars with these strips installed, like Honda accords and Acura's. They look great to me.
