Hi all glad I found this place hopefully someone can help me.I recently bought a really nice 97 Grand Cherokee Laredo and i had it about a month and my son bounced it off a telephone pole.it was a low speed impact but enough to mess some stuff up.
I bought another whole jeep for parts the snag I'm running into is how to take off the steel bumper,I see 2 large bolts through oval openings that need to be taken off but where the bumper ends at the edges it appears spot welded to a little piece that comes off the frame,so do i have to break these spot welds to remove the bumper to replace it?
Thanks in advance for any help.

Hold on fox, checking my files for that one..... I just downloaded a service manual for the WJ and I think a 97 zj was included.
Update:
