You can do anything bro. I knoe for sure 100% it can be done. You have to change the bezzel to fit the nav unit. and a few other things. Now the back up cam and sat radio might take more effort but it's possible.

i dont know why mopar would say that. i know the interior of your truck bc i have the same thing dude!!!
im putting in a REN(without nav) in the next 2 weeks...
the link you gave doesnt say if it's a low or high speed but since it came out of a 300 it should be low speed so you should be ok:)

for our model year it is a direct plug and play bro!!! no bezzel's needed
sat radio will work you just have to unplug ur sat cable from your old unit into your new unit. back up cam is hte same as well:)

Oh so it's pre wired for back up cam? Doesn't your bezzel have the side walls in the head unit window knotched out for your vol and tune knobs?

I have a 2009 with the same stereo as the one in the picture above. The link to the ebay posting has expired. I want to replace my stereo with the touch screen/nav version. From what I gather this can be done but what is the name of the nav stereo? I want to research it but I don't know what its called.

I just completed my install. I got my unit here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=130466750553&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWNX%3AIT Unit comes with installation instructions, nav antenna and unconnect mic.

Doug at OEMAUTOPARTSCO was very responsive and helpful. Easy plug and play install. The only real work was installing the antenna and mic.

LaredoRed,
Im looking to install a RER in my 2009 GC and Ive been looking at OEMAUTOPARTSCO as a possible seller. Did you have a good transaction with them? Was everything included? Was the installation basically easy?

I had a lot of communication with Doug before doing the "buy it now". Doug answered all my questions and he is very helpful. Just be sure to request the free mic, nav antenna, and instructions when you order. The install was very easy. You pop the trim off around the shifter first and then the center dash section. The instructions (which were jeep instructions) say to remove two screws in the lower cubby hole, but aparently on the '10 they elimanated the screws, the only mis-information in the instructions. You remove four screws to remove the old radio and unplug it. Mount the nav antenna and mic and plug the new unit in and reverse the above procedure.
The aftermarket mic cable they supply is too short to run to the a pillar. Since I had the instrument bezel cover removed for the nav antenna (per instructions), I trimed a little area at the lower right corner of the cover and place my mic there. I've seen others here and elsewhere trim a corner of the center dash piece next to the radio and place the mic there. (If you look closely at my pic you see something that looks like a button just above the ignition switch, that is the mic.) It makes the install a lot easier than installing a factory mic in the a pillar. To do that you have to remove the kick panel under the steering wheel and the a pillar cover and run your wiring. By doing it my way I was able to complete the install in about 35-40 minutes. Everything works beautifully.

Looked at that and it is a good deal but it doesnt include the mic, sat antenna, gps antenna, updates or dvd/navigation in motion programming (lockpick). The site Im looking to buy from includes all of this and a little more for around $200 more.

i think it just comes with a mic and a gps antenna. the lockpick is included?

When I bought mine the lockpic wasn't included.

Actually had to do some "dealing" to get everything extra. Maybe sales havent been as good in recent months for them, not sure but Im just glad I was able to get it for the price I got it. Now I just hope I can install it myself without any major issues.
