View Full Version : Maserati's version scratches the Ferrari for the Hemi!

I can't say I didn't expect it, but with the engineering already done for the Hemi fitting in the Jeep, it seems ludicrous to try to source a new engine and drivetrain just for the sake of it.
Would have been interesting, but not smart business wise.

That top gear article is flawed, in typical top gear fashion, long on hyperbole and short on substance. Don't get me wrong, I love the show, have for many years, but I don't take a lot of what they say seriously, because it's not

Both Renderings are absolutly HORRIBLE...

LOL...I watched about 3 episodes of topGear last night. Those 3 guys are great. They were in the US in all three shows...from the salt flats to NYC...


anyway....wouldnt it had been great to see the wk2 platform with one of those beautiful, harmonious Ferrari engines? Total sickness it would have been!

Actually the leftlane article was an update from their January article adding the top gear rumor.

Hey, no one really knows, do they?

BTW, without a Ferrari based engine they may have a lot of trouble getting the heavy coin I'm sure they will want.

That thing is a bucket of shit.

It's akin to Saab selling mildly modded Subarus.... anyone with a brain will buy the original every time instead of some badge engineered orphan.

Should've said screw em both and went to Audi for some that nice new 7L V12 in the Aventador! Now Lamborghini, they make some real engines ;)
