I need a 4.7 owner and a 3.7 owner to get together and compare intake systems....stock for stock or aftermarket....doesnt matter. Switch out intakes and see if they are compatible. We need this to see if the 4.7 Bwoody will fit the 3.7. PM me or post pics asap is possible! Thanks!

I have a 4.7. I just painted the air box cover and when I re-installed everything I get a check engine light. Maybe the mass air sensor? It seems to run OK. How do I retrieve the codes?
Anyway, you can look at mine if we can get together. Busy weekend though.

4.7 do not have a mass air flow meter. They are speed density systems

Do the turn on three times code retrieval thing (search).

You likely have a P0113 IAT error from not reconnecting the IAT sensor correctly, or starting the car prior to connecting the sensor.

I seriously doubt there is anyone else from San Antonio here but I can compare my 3.7 if you have time. I have been sporting the garage stickers so who knows!

Bingo! Duh! That's just what I did. I reconnected it, still had the light. Called my son ( Jeep95XJ). He told me to disconnected the battery for 20 mins. reconnect it and all's ok, Thanks, guys.

So, if I can help with the Bwoody thing, I'll be glad to. I got company coming over tomorrow afternoon and I'll be upstate Sunday gettin' the Jeep dirty. Mon. nothing going on so Sat. morning or Mon. is OK.

Son of a biscuit! My dad does have the 3.7, but he left this morning for vacation in north carolina! Won't be back until next weekend. I did glance at his engine a couple weeks ago, if i remember correctly i thought to myself that a bwoody wouldn't work. I can't remember why though, I think it was due to the fact that the engine is physically shorter which would make the intake tube go right over the oil fill cap.
