I bet it's just the breathing....
Low restriction intake and exhaust. Most of us are already doing it.

Breathing and VCT technology (I think it's for MPG but it might add hp, too).
Brad: Intake, exhaust and tune and you're pretty much at that level....

VVT vs VCT on the New Generation HEMI
Postby scottm » Wed Jun 25, 2008 4:47 pm
Re: the 2009 5.7L HEMI that's coming in the Dodge Ram trucks.
The PR says variable valve timing (VVT) but I have read people
calling it variable cam timing (VCT). I have some more details.
The new generation HEMI employs cam phasers -- thus it is VCT.
They chose to use VVT in their various marketing dialogs in order
for more mass appeal, since VVT is more widely known than VCT.
Can you deploy VVT without VCT? I don't know. But it does seem
logical that you cannot use VCT without it causing a VVT result. :)
As far as other 2009 vehicles, the only marketing slicks I found so
far are for the new Challenger. While it does not mention VVT, it
does have more power and fuel efficiency in the 5.7 than what we
have in the LX cars for 2008. I can only assume this means it gets
the VVT HEMI -- thus perhaps the entire 2009 HEMI line will, too!

Sweet. Now all I need is a tune and I will be getting there...thanks for the info Ryan! Do you have a cmr tune? I need to get the diablo first but I want t plan how much money the whole packag will cost and I was told the cmr's are over 200 dollars. So it would be almost $600 for everything. Do u think the cmr is worth it?

DCX sells theirs for cheap I'll send you a PM on that later...
I'm completely happy with the 91 tune.. I can turn MDS on or off and when I want. On the last road trip, see my sig, I can get great gas and haul ass at the same time.
If you're a speed junkie then the CMR is worth it from all I've heard...
Doing the quick math I maybe got 10 hp from the intake, maybe 3-4 from the exhaust and maybe 15-20 hp from the 91 tune... add that up over the stock 330 and we're sitting at the 360 range.. well above the '09 engine with rough estimates... The torque story gets fun b/c we already push 375 torque and with said bolt-ons I believe that the torque in my HEMI could be at or around 400 lb-ft. at the flywheel.

Dylan, if you don't know, it's best to shutup.
So, please only comment in threads that are about dark blue WJ's alright, and only if it's not about anything mechanical, because you've proven time and time again that you're lost on that stuff......

^^I only said that because the '010 is supposed to have 390 hp or something like that.
I'm sorry I don't like your cheesy WK with it's honda grade materials that they tried to make the whole interior out of (05-07 model years).
