I was wondering if the 08 style wk front bumper can be put on an 05 style Wk but be modified to use the 05 style head lights not the new style head lights.
ex, if i cut the "humps" off would it be flush with the front of the head lights or would there be a nasty gap there.
Basically, i want to get a new bumper cover one day, not SRT 8 style, because mine has alot of road rash and if i am going to spend the money on paint i want it to be the newer style but i prefer the older style headlights.
I know i have seen people use the 05 headlights for the HID projector mod on the new style with the "humps" over the front of the headlight so if they could be cut off w/o having a gap this might be a nice way to get a more stream line/ clean looking bumper and not change the headlights.

And you'd need the 08+ grill too.

The grille is easy enough, i just want to keep my headlights.

you can keep your headlights...the gap is very slight. I have seen an 09 with the aftermarket headlights and the humpers in front of them. I would just trim the humps off and then have it refinished. You will also need the bumper cover support...only a $40 part and the grill.....like $280.

Sounds good to me. When i have some money saved up i want to replace the whole front bumper cover, support, with an 08+ bumper cover and grille, then have that, the hood and both front fenders re painted and finished with the ceramiclear or the 3m film. Right now there are tons of rock chips and it makes me cringe every time i detail my jeep to see it. I also dont want the whole front end covered in touch up spots.
I can deal with a tiny gap, like you said, just cut it before paint so its nicely finished off.

Dylan go with a 04 front bumper....nice upgrade. And Kyle you should go for it. It will give the front a clean look.

just get the ceramic clear coat that Scott always raves about and you should be fine. I guess .
