My neighbor had some extra gutter screen from Homedepot, so i grabbed one section and about to trim it and paint it black to insert it in the lower opening of my front bumper. Any ideas, tips?

I'd rather not drill any holes in the bumper plastic, but rather thinking of securing it to or hanging it from the metal supports behind the opening.

The gutter screen from the depot. I think he said it was like $2.80 for a 6"x36" piece. Painted a satin black should look decent, wont match the srt grill mesh I have on looks wise, but I think it will add to the look of the bumper and keep rocks and bugs from hitting the radiator.

He did, you might want to search his threads I'm not sure if the write up is here or there if you know what I mean..
I tried it once and gave up LOL
I tried and gave up as well, but Rob made a really nice one a month or two ago. He did a whole write up I believe.

That came out great. Thanks for the link, and the write-up. Hopefully mine comes out half as nice as yours.

OK Timmy so i am looking at your lower fascia and what you can do is the same thing I did; cut the mesh to fold back on the raised sections of the black plastic and have sections that fill the lower grooves. You can paint the screws/washers the same black and you will not be able to see the mounting locations. When you stand at the front and look down at the mesh, it naturally blacks the area behind it, and if you put a slight slant to it you will not be able to tell. Here are some other pics; I know the 08's is a little different but the same mounting and set-up can be used IMHO!!

See on the last pic if you trim it right you cannot really see where it mounts behind the mesh

awesome job. on the early laredo, that piece you screwed to dont come off. but we would mount the same way if we take the bumper off.

I am copying your idea right now. The metal snips I have kinda suck so im afraid of the mesh rolling. I am cutting it larger then going to use a metal file to bring it down to the correct size.
I really think your mesh came out 100% perfect and adds so much to the look IMO. +Rep for ya. Awesome job and mod.
