Hi Guys, I was browsing through the posts last night and came across a thread about GC Limited with SRT wheels and saw a few pics of RAYMONDS whip. I started drooling and realized that is what I want my GC to look like!! Where or how can I get that rear bumper? Also any info on the best place to pick up a set of the SRT rims would be greatly appreciated!!

Hey bro.....the SRT rims can be found in OEM or replicas on ebay.com The all black replicas are $849 and the all chrome are $1249. They also have staggered replicas. The oem SRT's can be found on there pretty much anytime for anywhere between $1800-2500 with tires. Raymond has the OEM staggered set up. they are forged and polished.
The bumper will be a bit harder and probably just as expensive....LOL. You will have to find someone to buy you an export bumper and ship it here. It wont be cheap IMO. I have a connection with a Jeep dealer in Great Britain if you aare interetsed. I got my export taillights from them and so have several other members. let me know and ill post the parts managers email.

if you wanted it to look exactly like Rays then you'll have to remove your factory or aftermarket tint. :D
Mr.Watson

True! I think the tint can stay! I dont need it to be an exact replica, but I love the rear bumper and the running boards

That pic is of the fitting instructions for the running boards (side steps) fitted to my Jeep. The bright metal is aluminium not chrome. I paid $569.45 (Australian dollars) for them in July 07.
If I remember correctly the export tails were $690 each when I priced them for Scott.
Please remember that Australian prices are generally 3 times US prices (except for the steering wheel bolt which at $10.50 was more that 10 times the US price).

Great info, thanks.
I understand that the bumper cover is a bolt on and there there is no need for a cover support or other parts. Is that correct ?
Also, would you happen to know by any chance what is the part number of the export headlights ?

its the rear crash protection and bumper support. The laredo/limited/overland for US versions are all the same...but the SRT and exports have the rear lamps and their absorbers allow for those lamps. I have a pic somewhere of te difference....let me find it.

the SRT was fairly new then...so parts were mucho dinero. Now i believe they are about $100. You have a 2009 or 10' right? Robpp tried to get the lamps to work in his 2007...which has the same lamp setup as yours...and was not successful. maybe talk to Lips and see what he has to say about the export taillights.....I wouldnt have any idea.

2008....ok...yeah the export tails would not be plug and play on your Jeep. You would run into the same problem that robpp ran into. the 05-06 lamps(and exports) use a single filament bulb for each brake and tail....whereas your 2008 uses dual filament bulbs for both the brake and tail. It seems easy...but Rob is pretty much a genius and he couldnt get it to work right to suit him.
Im pretty sure the export rear absorber would be different than the SRt absorber...but not really sure. The SRT bumper is a lot lower than the stock laredo/limited/overland bumper and the bumper does connect to the absorber via some push pins. Someones gonna have to be the guinea pig.....LOL! You up to it Bernie?

You up to it Bernie? Think I'm gonna take some measurements of the bumper cover of an SRT8 and mine... They look the same to me.... but I wear glasses now... Yah.. If I can get the parts... I would be up for it... I like a challenge...as an aside... I thought the export tails had more bulbs than mine, but I thought my single brake/tail bulb would be a dual filament because it does two functions.... but I already mentioned I wear glasses now

Hi,
My name is Jacob and I am a member of www.JeepGarage.org (http://www.jeepgarage.org/) and I live in the USA. I am a owner of a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee. In Europe they call it a WH, but in the USA it is call the WK. I am looking to do a European tail light conversion and I need information on the cost of the WH taillights and shipping cost to the USA.
Here is the part #:
Chrysler-55156720 AH
Chrysler-55156721 AH
If possible can you please also tell me the price conversion for these as I do see on you website that it cost $191.06 per taillight and I don't know if that's in Euro's or US Dollars. Please provide me you contact information for future plans of purchase. Thank You.

the vin# helps them verify the part is correct for the vehicle. Some dealers want it...some dont. I guess its so they dont order the wrong part...then have to return it for the right part.

Yeah they usually always ask for the VIN, although they can obtain it themselves from year and registration number, but that would only be for UK registered vehicles (I assume). I even had to provide the VIN for bulbs. They're covering their backs so they don't order the wrong stuff.

well, I got a response from my buddy in Perth, Australia. He checked on the price of the WH export bumper, absorber and assorted hardware at a local dealer there. $2925 + freight AU dollars which converts to 24 or 2500 dollars CDN or USD respectively. Sorry it took so long to get this info to you all. But I had a devil of a time getting back up after I fell off my chair. Guess that is one more mod I won't be doing......
