Car Wash and Quadra-Trac II

Call me a noob but, do I have to put my transfer case into neutral on my WK to go though a car wash? In my new jeep (WK) I have the Quadra-Trac II, in my old jeep (ZJ), I had Select-Trac and all I had to do was put the transmission in neutral, while in two wheel drive mode.

correct me if im wrong, but i dont think theres a neutral control for the tcase. just put the tranny in neutral

I have been through 1 that pulls you and I just shifted it from D to N!

Yup, me too. Been through a few of 'em during the winter when it's just too damn cold to wash the Jeep. Jut put tranny in neutral and yer golden.

Thanks all...that is what I thought but I wanted to be sure not to harm the tcase. Winter is a coming and I need it.

I was about to say WTF are you doing at a car wash? A true jeep lover washes their jeep by hand unless it's winter. LOL

you only use this feature if your towing the jeep !

If you live where I do...you can hand wash your Jeep in the winter...heheheehhehe! ;)

haha i wash mine in zero degree weather here in minnesota. never been through a car wash cant stand anyhting touching my vehicles but me.

You are right. I have washed my vehicles and seen ice freeze on them. No one washes my vehicles.

My parents get mad when i wash it on the drive way cuz it makes ice so i need to find a close do it yourself wash place and bring my buckets.
