Sick cars, but I gotta agree, just not that smart. I appreciate fast cars, but if you can afford to modify your car like that, then you can afford track time. I do drive above the speed limit, but speeding does not equal racing. Especially when your driving ridiculously fast cars. It's real easy for your car to get away from you, or for something to go wrong. It'd be fine on the track, but public roads can put innocent people in harms way. Maybe your view will change when you lose a friend or family member in a car wreck. I know it changed my view real quickly.
I've done dumb shit too, so don't take me as preachy. I just don't anymore and I never posted it on the Internet for others too see.

Sure everyone does dumb shit sometimes. I have too...and luckily no one was killed. But let's not glorify it here. Too many young people die on the roads around here and we don't need to encourage street racing on this site. This video belongs with with the other fckups on Youtube.

Yes street racing is stupid, but they were clearly on an empty back road, and that jeep is insane to keep up with a GTR. Sweet truck

Just send that Bad Ass ride over here to me in Germany... Let me see what it'll do on the Autobahn. The fastest me and misses have got up to thus far has only been 298 kmh / 185 mph.
Here it's no big deal to top out... not like the states we're everyone is a little :slapfight::slapfight:!!!!

SWEETT VID Paulie!
Haaahaa, bunch of softies on here apparently
Where they were racing and at the time may have well BEEN A DAMN DRAG STRIP. Use discretion people and stop just freaking out when you see people take their cars above the limit on a public road. Sure its a bad example but you think internet videos are actually an example to youth? GTFO, what happened ot parenting and your own discretion. Kids will be kids, let them do their thing. Drinking and driving is another story, thats a big deal and terrible terrible thing in our world today.
And FTR, this "kid" isnt 18 and a couple legit race shops built his beast, not his "Daddy" so dont see the relevance there? And he does track his Jeep a lot, assuming he just wanted to get some vid for all the whores over here so he threw this up ;)
But driving your badass Jeep and GTR down a desolate straightaway at midnight for fun is not a big deal, anyone who cant see that needs to go back into their bubblewrap home and use some sanitizer after typing on these dirty forums . . .

I agree but Paul, you're a bigger moron than I realized.......Thought you were an EMT:confused:. Kill yourself no problem but don't endanger passengers, they have absolutely no control over what happens.....just my $.02

I feel you and everyone elses opinions in that this is irresponsible and to an extent it is, but not an extent that is significant enough for people to be reacting the way they are
I mean, why is he in any more danger in the vid than any other situation he may encounter daily? People automatically equate high speeds to imminent danger but if you weight out all variables in play here, this is probably a good deal safer than driving normally on any major highway or other crowded road, just my .02 - Doesn't make it right, but doesn't make it very dangerous and for people to be reacting like their oh soo righteous.
And Im sure the people getting in knew what was going on, so it was their choice. Doubt he said they were going to cruise the speed limit next to the GTR

600 Horsepower at the treads GTR? Really? I reckon it's tuned on a "Happy" (high reading) dyno if at all! Because seriously, it sounds stock.
Regardless, your SRT sounds awesome.

Here is an interesting graph for everyone out there. This is still used by the State Police in Michigan and Texas.
It is actually safer to travel 15mph above the speed limit vs traveling 10mph under!
So why are there speeding tickets but no tickets for the 92yr old who can't see over the steering wheel driving 10-15mph under as they are the greater hazard?
http://www.motorists.org/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/85th-percentile-speed-limits.jpg
Texting and driving is actually more dangerous than drinking and driving/sleepy driving and that as well all agree is very bad!
So to all be safe and drive well, whatever your speed may be!

Finally some hard evidence of this lol. Been looking for something like this forever! It will sit in my glovebox and hang on my wall just for debates sake when people give me chit for doing 10-15mph + thanks very much :D

What wasnt mentioned about that graph is 100+ mph above the speed limit with a car full of people, furthermore the up slope on above is MUCH quicker than the downslope. When you take a race car out on the street and treat it like your on a prepped track, Nick Hogan happens. I dont want to hear "he cannot drive" bull crap because it just takes one instant for crap to go south on either drivers part and there could have been 6 + dead or mamed people.
I say that but will not call names. I love the ride, it sounds SO beautiful as I already said. Thanks for the video, one from the track with some numbers would be AWESOME!

its funny how the only people getting pissed off dont own an Srt. Sometimes someone challenges you and you cant just say "hold up bro, lets go to the track and race" especially if its midnight or whatever time this vid was taken. Its no different then you revving at a light and doing a quick little race to put the other person in their spot. You gotta have love for this jeep that thing is built beautifully. as someone said above haters gonna hate.
