It is about time to change my spark plugs and I know that the 5.7L in stock form really needs the copper champions for the MDS to operate normally. But since I have MDS disabled I was thinking about using a platinum plug.
So, has anyone with their MDS disabled changed their plugs, and what plugs did you use?

Do you think it runs better than the stock coppers?
The main reason I asked is because I've read of people not using the coppers with the MDS and they get hesitation/stalling issues. But since I'm not using MDS anymore my thinking is that it won't matter anymore.

what kind of gas mileage can you get with the MDS disabled? Or is everyone enabling the MDS when they go on a highway/freeway trip? I saw a post (can't find it or remember who) that said they were getting 20++mog witht the 93 Diablo tune and MDS disabled...was that accurate or am I totally making things up??
how does everyone like having the MDS disabled? Aside from gas mileage...how is the consistent performance? Any shifting differences or other changes?

i didnt notice much of a milage change, but i also didnt care after turning it off for a while. with my exhaust i just hated the constant 4 banger noise.
i cant remember wich ones i got, it was to long back to find on my ebay list. it might be the 4306's but try emailing him, hes a good person and usually responds fast. he should point you in the right direction, i think i also put in $40 for the offer price to

Is there a reason not to use the stock plugs? There is no performance gain, for Normal street driving, using different plugs...
If the cost for stockers is high, then i could understand. otherwise just use what came stock... then guarenteed to not have any issues...

they are saying that when you disable MDS via diablo or other tuner, there is a hesitation/lag with the stock plugs b/c they are made for the MDS system...i too am a big proponent of using what came with the vehicle UNLESS you make modifications, then you have to adapt to what you have tweaked!
