1999 WJ Laredo to Limited Edition Progress!

So most of you probably have seen pictures of my jeeps transformation look! I originally had the old textured crap gray plastic bumpers. Which I'm dieing to take off my Jeep.

So heres the scoop of what's going on now.

Sorry, it rained today so the jeep is dirty. :)
I got a chip paint on my left front fender molding, so hes currently painting that now.
There was gum on it, and i guess something hit it because I know I didn't do it.

I shipped off the right front door molding today.
I'll soon have it all done and looking like a limited jeep. yay! :cool:

Its looking Great Andrew. Its nice to see the laredo parts mixed with the limited parts in the pics because you can see how much better it is going to look when its done.

The wheels are looking awesome, the 22s are huge but they fit perfect....great job on your selection.

I will one day get my door handles painted, kinda tired of chrome door handles.
I hope these door handles hold up in the winter time, not like those covers.
The door handles give me something else to do anyways. I'll do that next year, and to make my jeep better looking, i'll have the guy sand down my mirrors and paint them too. Would be sweet!

Dyland, what do you mean by Side Skirt am I getting?

Dreamer, I know you've been keeping your eyes on my jeep the most, seeing how much its changed. I'd really love to buy your rock rails. If you have them before october 20th, i'll buy them!

Also, are these door handles SMOOTH?

there's a couple of different styles of side skirts you can get:

1. the un-noticable one

Rock Panels....Below your door molding that long piece that goes from behind your front tire to the front of you back tire.

There is no side skirt for WJ...only the WK's have that Mopar Body kit, or the SRT side skirts...

You can either paint that plastic piece you have on there now to match...or you can get rid of it, and install rock rails...

My rock rails are either being replaced with dreamers rock rails, or I will take them off and get them painted.

Would it fit on my jeep dreamer?

The holes for mounting them are only included on WJs built from 02>, so in your case no.

However, if you look at WJjeeps.com you can drill holes in the frame to install them....


BTW, your Jeep looks great with the painted bumper and door cladding. Improves the look 100% from the faded grey stuff. :thumbsup:

Brand? I wanna buy new mirrors and have them painted the same color as my jeep.

Yeah Andy...right now they wouldn't bolt right up...you would need to drill the holes into the frame to mount the rock rails..l.

Right now you don't have any kinda rock rails...its just a plastic side skirt...

Umm...why do you wanna buy new mirrors to have them painted?? Just paint your stock mirrors...thats what I did...and I LOVE IT!

Because one side mirror is cracked (the glass all the way across it), plus I need mirrors for when it's shipped off and being sanded and painted. haha. SILLY!

The export wj has painted mirriors.

Export WJ's doesn't have painted mirrors....if they are painted...then the ownder had them painted....

^^ the european base models don't have roof racks, so if you could get your hands on some of those rails then you'd be set lol.

LOL!! It does look amazing...I really don't know why Jeep decided to not paint the WJ's mirrors...and ZJ Limited's had painted mirrors and it looked great....

I see the Rock Rails in the pictures above seems to be a different color, but I guess it has to do with the shade. Trying to figure out how its covering the part where my side skirt is being taken off if the Rock Rails drop down some. But, the side skirts underneath are painted.

I guess I need a closer look at the rock rails to see the details. :)
