i only have the 5.7L Hemi but i agree with the "on ramps" comment. i love hearing my wife say you're not going to get in front of that car then hear the hemi roar and blow by them. such a great feeling.

Glad we got the JeepGarage.org in front of the tour. There was a bit more talked about. I'm curious if they'll use anything else, as I talked more about JeepGarage and why it's great.
Do you know if anyone has spotted the "hidden" JeepGarage.org magnet on the SRT Trailer?

Its a feeling I get at least 4 times a day. Who gets to drag race that much? LOL.

The SRT Jacket was won when I was the fastest around the autocross at my SRT Experience. However, even the SRT Tour guys and girls were eyeing. Apparently, the winners jackets are as nice any more. :(
Oh well, I got mine!

And he is right on all accounts.....

Way to go Brian........
Thanks Paolo. I can't wait to do the SRT Experience in these. That will be when we'll really be able to see what the corners feel like.

I won that same jacket at the SRT Experience for having the lowest autocross time across all 4 days. It's actually a really nice quality jacket.

Edit: Just got vid to work. Nice work QuickOne

Schlep. I remember talking about our times. I was the fastest of the week as well.
I got 29.1...I think I was a notch quicker that you! Mwahhahahahaha!
J/K.
The SRT Experience stays at one track for a few days and then packs it up and goes to another. Each experience is only one day. It's a great day and I'll be back for sure.
For those "High Rollers" with the new jeeps on order, the jacket auction is starting now, for a low low price of $999. :D Let the bidding begin! ;)

I think they make a long weekend out of it, but the event for an individual is just a single day. If I'm wrong, I'm going to be calling in sick to work! :D

SRT experience lasts 4 days?

Thanks Johnny. I had no idea they were going to interview me and they led off with "What does SRT mean to you?"
I only wish it was a dry day so we would have been able to do a little more with the cars.
Oh well...We'll make up for it at the SRT Experience.

Nice Brian, loved the commentary! I agree you are pretty spot on in comparing the two.
Although drag racing is still certainly an art and takes a lot of skill to win. (NHRA teams spend millions just to win in a season lol) - as do F1 teams so they both have their places!

Id have to say though that circuit racing is harder as far as mental/physical stress go as they are clearly longer races requiring much more endurance. Also they require much more technical driving skill as there is constant breaking/turning/accelerating and all have to be done strategically at the exact moment to have a chance at winning a race.

BUT that also makes draggin' tougher in the sense that you have this big $ car and spend all the time and put all the effort in for a few seconds down a 1320 ft strip. So you better damn well be ready and win or else its all wasted!

I CANT pick one as BETTER than the other as they are different (apples/oranges) but as far as fun, dragging gets my adrenaline pumping wayyy harder but only for a little but tracking is much more fun as its a full day deal usually so I can get involved a lot more as its longer race. Its kinda like riding a freefall roller coaster vs a long swoopiing one that lasts for minutes, both fun in different ways, different rush.

Thanks Soon.
When you have to worry about Throttle vs traction, it's an entirely different animal.
That is not the case with stock Jeep SRT8s.
And its mostly not the case on even many modified Jeep SRT8s.
It's not like your dealing with clutches and spinning your only two drive tires. (FOR THE MOST PART) That is my comparison.
Once you start modifying anything for racing, it's a whole different ball of wax we are talking about, both road course and 1/4 mile.
I'm also not trying to pick which one is better. Because that's like telling someone what music they can only like or what foods you should like. It's personal opinion.
I do know that every day, I corner hard, brake hard and accelerate out of MANY MANY corners and trying to hit apexs smoothly and accurately.
I have 32,000 miles on my 2010 Jeep. I think the new version is better suited for everyday life. Which in turn will make a lot of people who only buy one car for themselves happy.
