If you want to replace injectors, high pressure pump, .... you can. It can and up very costly. Not recommended.

off road diesel is not nessesarily the same ULSD that comes out of the street pump.
That being said off road diesel tends to either be regular ULSD that has been died red, or the take-off of USLD that doesn't meet sulfur spec.
In either case it won't do any damage to your engine or components, but if your caught it will damage your pocket book.

Keep dreaming. Off-road diesel is far from ULSD specs. Not just sulfur specs.

It looks like you are not in the US. Perhaps it is different in your part of the world, I cannot speak to that and don't pretend to have knowledge of your area.
Here in the US its exactly like I stated:
"That being said off road diesel tends to either be regular ULSD that has been died red, or the take-off of USLD that doesn't meet sulfur spec."
I am a ME who specialized in diesel engine calibration and emissions validation, I've been through the fuel source structure in the US and know the supply's we see so we can do our validation.
I don't know what exactly comes out of the pumps but according to legislation, in the States, ultra low sulphur diesel (ULSD) is supposed to have < 15ppm sulphur (<10ppm in most other countries) whereas what you call off-road diesel (non-road diesel) is allowed to have up to 500ppm sulphur. High sulphur is great for engine lubrication but bloody awful for the environment.

You can add some 2stroke oil to the off road diesel it should be fine.
We run one on the farm an put loads of miles on it towing an its fine 2stroke lubs the system up.
