i have a guy that will sell me a 12" kicker L5 and a mtx 3401 class d monoblock amp for 250 bucks. is that a good deal? im not sure what year the sub is but its silver with the red logo

That is an awful deal, no!

I wouldn't pay more than 50 bucks for that. I wouldn't buy it at all, but if I had to place a value on it, lol.

price seems a little steep, maybe if you can bring him down to 150 that probably wouldn't be too bad lol

No problem. I wouldn't want you to get ripped. If you're looking to add a sub or amp let us know what your budget is and what your goals are, and if you have any constraints.

im looking to add a sub and amp. ive been shopping used tho b/c i only have about 300 bucks to spend.

its a refurbished L5 with refurf amp and includes wiring. but karpe says L5's are shitty so i dunno. last time i was in the market for a stereo system was 1998

only goal i have is adding some bass to my BA system. im not looking to win any trophies. but i do want to stick to a single sub. not anything obnoxiously loud thats going to tear up my jeep tho. thanks for your help

They aren't bad I guess, but I used to sell them and they sounded like shit. So maybe they are that bad, haha.

Honestly, that's not too bad of a price for what you're getting, but it should not have a 4 channel amp for a sub woofer, lol.

Give me a day to get some options for ya together. I won't disappoint.

Don't get L5's they sound horrible. i'm talking from experience, if you can get L7 if you want kicker they sound BA and are good quality.
