Explain a little more...I know what you are talking about (blue wire from head unit to amp; this turns the amp on and off with the stereo). Where are you trying to hook it up?

I think your just appealing to a group that's too spefic, you should try just ask the wj owners. All wjs are really the same under neath so there's no need to ask for only 99' limited owners.
I'm not trying to be mean I'm just telling you that when you posted the thread name, it's appealing to a very narrow band of members here, so just saying you need to name your threads carefuly, cuz at first I didn't know that this was about subs, I thought you were looking yo see if you were the only one that ownes a 99 limited here. IDK just something to keep in mind.

I didnt start this thread for that reason, i started it because i think im the only 99 limited owner here. If there was another 99 limited owner i was gonna add them as a friend for a refrence to help me out.

No...stick with this thread! First, what is your headunit? A pic of the HU (rear) would help. Next, you can use and non-live fuse/signal to tap into. What it does is send a quick signal to the amp to say "turn on" and "turn off"...if you have an aftermarket headunit you should have the ability to tap into the HU and obtain the right signal. I know others have used the sunroof fuse (and again any fuse that is not live all the time); you have to use a switched signal (ie sunroof) that becomes live when the vehicle is turend on (only problem is when you shut your stereo off, the amp will remain on; best way is through your headunit). If it is a stock HU, I would find a switched fuse and use a t-tap or any other method to tap into that fuse/signal; or if some of the guys know which wire to t-tap on the back of the stock, you can go that route.
This is super simple and there are multiple ways to do it...tell me a little about your set-up and we can go from there...also PM Matt

Do you have a factory or aftermarket stereo. If it is factory it will splice into your acc. wire (should be orange but don't quote that). If it is aftermarket it will be a blue or blue and white wire. It should be labeled remote or amp turn on. Be sure you do not wire it into your antena on or your amp will only work when the radio is on. I also have a 99 limited and own SoDel Customs car audio so I can answer your stereo questions. Cheers.

hey man. well what i did with the remote is just run it directly in the fuse that controlds the CD player. But i had a different scenarion. If your putting in a CD deck then there should be a wire (should be blue) that will come off your wiring harness (the one that connects your CD player to your factory harness.

thanks for the info. yea im keeping my stock stereo too(not appealing to thiefs) but im by-passing the stock amp to add a stronger aftermarket amp for the front speakers and a stronger amp for the subs..

honestly man i would just go with an after market deck. $100 walmart deck will do fine for ya. Its a PITA to hookup subs to a factory deck.
